Hey guys, just thought I'd tell you about a new novel by Jeff Strand called Dweller. I'm pretty damn excited about it, probably because I'm a huge Jeff Strand fan. Here's the cover:

Here's an excerpt from the back cover:

When Toby Floren was eight years old, he discovered a monster living in the woods behind his house. A ghastly, frightening creature with claws, fangs, and a taste for human flesh. As he ran out of the forest, screaming, Toby felt that he'd been lucky to escape with his life.

Years later, Toby finds comfort with the creature. It's his own special secret-something that nobody else in the world knows about. Somebody to talk to. Somebody to confide in. Sure, Toby has concerns about his own sanity, but really, what boy wouldn't want to be best friends with a monster in the woods, especially if he's being tormented by bullies? The creature, who he names Owen, may be the answer to his problems...

From Jeff Strand, the author of Pressure, comes the story of a macabre, decades-long friendship. A relationship that will last their entire lives, through times of happiness, tragedy, love, loss, madness, and complete darkness.

Dweller. The lifetime story of a boy and his monster.

I personally think this novel sounds freaking great and I can't wait to read it. Here's the link if you guys are interested:

Jeff Strand's practice of beastiality really sickens me. Is it legal over there or something? Dude should be locked up.

Those are some pretty absurd statements. Zero, Jeff Strand writes with a very sardonic sense of humor. Many of his horror tales are terrifying and funny at the same time, you should really give him a try :)

No its not its a well known fact that his publicists have tried to bury. Jeff Strand sleeps with the Kitties. You should stop lying to people.

Can you provide any proof for these claims?

Advertising+infrequent posting= getting hassled.
I don't agree with a reputable publisher getting hassled for advertising a new book from a cool small press author the same way somebody would for trying to sell their straight to DVD zombie movie, but it happens when people only come on to advertise. I think Zero would indeed like Jeff Strand. From what I've heard on The Haunt (it was a noble endeavour, Shane) he's quite the talent. If I could afford to buy horror novels, he'd be one of the people I'd read. I'm also 99 percent sure he doesn't have sex with animals.

Don't know his work directly, but I know a lot of serious horror collectors dig Jeff Strand. It's hard to establish a sense of scope when small press publishers and writers show up to advertise. It could be just one self published douche or it could be somebody with a legitimate operation that people outside of collectors and hardcore readers

Yes, my apologies if it seems I only come on here to advertise, as I assure you that's not what I want! I'll make a conscious effort to contribute to the community more often :)

Sounds like an interesting book. I would actually like to read Jeff Strand's work.

Problem is, I have a Kindle and most of Jeff Strand's books are not available to me because I am in Australia.

So I can't pay him and his publishers money to read his work on my Kindle. Why is this?
