The Weinstein Company and Dimension Films are planning on remaking The Amityville Horror...again.
Andrew Douglas directed the 2005 reboot produced by Platinum Dunes that grossed over $100m at the box office worldwide.
Sources also tell that there just might be a director already in talks to develop the project.
The original 1979 film followed newlyweds as they move into a house where a murder was committed, and experience strange manifestations which drive them away.
MGM also retains different rights and were planning on developing The Amityville Tapes, which has been put on the back burner while MGM figures out their financial woes.
