Hello everyone

i was looking for a forum that wasn't overly crowded, i used to post on bloody disgusting, but that place has too many film snobs, i made a comment one time about how i didn't care for 'near dark' all that much and i thought someone was gonna murder me.

A little bit about me, I live in Singapore, moved here back in May from Chicago. It's pretty nice so far. I love horror films, i think it started from watching them at night with my dad as a child (the ending to phantasm haunted me for years, lol) and also from sneaking into the horror section at the video store when i was 5 and looking at the boxes. It seemed so taboo to me, ha. I'm 24 now and i'm on a never ending quest to see new horror films and old horror films alike, my most recent additions to my collection are, 'Vampyre, Criterion Collection' (absolutely fantastic) and 'Army of Darkness' on bluray. I also I have Fulci's 'The New York Ripper' (bluray) on it's way from amazon. Can't wait for it to get here, i've never seen it before.

I don't really care too much for modern horror, too many remakes and i don't care for torture porn style films. I play online occasionally with my ps3, so if anyone wants to add me feel free to send me a pm and i'll give you my handle. I usually play resistance 2 coop or skate2.

Hey dude. Totally understandable with the complaints of the 'film-f*cks' you'll find around forums. I'm majoring in film in college, and there's plenty I have to deal with. This semester I'm filming a short slasher that I hope to post on here, and I've already been told by my teacher not to do it, and a lot of students are against it, but f*ck it, it's happening.

...point is. Yea, I have to deal with gay ass film f*cks pretty often, and it's annoying. I'm not a fan of modern horror either. I'm hoping mine won't turn out like the new shite we have to deal with, but, meh, I'm not trying to do anything special with it. Just doing it for fun.

I'm pretty new to this horror.com forum, and saw you had no replies. Thought I'd throw something out there, meet some dudes.

What are some you would suggest? I have a few that I actually enjoy, but there are many that I didn't. If you have a list or something, that'd be awesome, and I'll go hunting.

ditto, i don't get to catch as many straight to dvd movies, cause i don't have fear.net anymore, and i'm not gonna go out and order everything that looks remotely interesting. I do need to see, 'let the right one in' thought, i hear that movie is great.
