...sounds curiously like the same story?
The Hollywood Reporter writes that Supermax, a red-hot spec script from writers Mitch Rouse and Christopher Nelson, has been picked up by Columbia and producer Todd Garner.
The script, a horror/action combo about a supernatural prison, "centers on a skilled guard who is re-assigned to Supermax. After a riot erupts, he must join forces with one of the prison's monstrous inmates in order to survive and fight his way out."
Garner is currently producing the Nicolas Cage magical adventure The Sorcerer's Apprentice, as well as Witchita, starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.
Rouse, who is also an actor in addition to screenwriter, has appeared on TV shows like Reno 911! and According to Jim.
