Hello and welcome to the HDC Awards, 2008-09 version. As you all know, these Awards are handed out every year as recognition of the excellent contributions made by all of you in HDC throughout the year.

This year, HDC has seen one of the BIGGEST lulls ever in HDC history. As soon as Christmas ended and the New Year got rolling, the traffic to this place decreased and how! The world went through a pretty severe recession phase and it had its impact on this place too. But, like all good things blossom at the right time, here we are again, same time same month this year, to cheer yet again for the Awards!

Anyway, let's get this show on the road.

This next Award, is one of the most prestigious and much-esteemed Award in our Presentations night. Founded back in 2007 by yours truly, this Award recognises the true achievers who, with their continuous dedication and commitment, excel in their professional fields and set an example or trend for others to follow.

Here in HDC, we have quite a few of such wonderful and successful personalities too.

One of them has largely gone under the radar, unnoticed. A few of us know how good he is at what he does, and what he has achieved in his life so far. He is undoubtedly a master of his craft and has been very active in Hollywood, whether it be Special Visual Effects, Make-up or Animatronics, or any other branch of Special Effects.

It is with great honor that I bestow this next award to a very worthy receipeint. Nobody has done more for this site....put in as much time and thought and blood and sweat and tears.....yes tears...do you think he didn't shed a tear when each and every combatant met their demise in the Battle Royale...nay...for each and everyone of us are like his children. Many time we indeed act like children and he has guided us along with a firm yet kind hand....showing us the way and putting this site back on the right track.He alone has made HDC the finest community on the whole world wide web.Actually I think HORROR himself should be presenting this award....but what's the chances of that....huh....really...none..zilch...nata.

So with this award we make it official......as our spiritual guide and group leader ......members of HDC.....I give you none other than V

With this title comes great responsibility and nobody is more up for it than PRESIDENT V.
