I strongly suspect you'll come through it just fine (without knowing what you're going for). I had hip surgery about three times in the late fifties and survived --- and can still walk too. But still, to make it official, good luck.

If you die, we won't be speaking again.
This isn't the best outcome.

I'm sorry, I must have missed something. What's the operation for?

best of luck
hope you don't wake up in the middle of it like I did last time I went under the knife (happened to my big sister too)

yup.
I was in the middle of having tumors removed from my middle ear. The sound of the scapel scraping flesh is still quite vivid in my mind's ear fifteen years later.

I woke up during my wisdom teeth surgery. It was a matter of seconds. Apparently, I had yanked the IV out (I guess I move around a lot when I sleep) and they needed to reposition it. I felt no pain, and I was right back out. So it's not always a nightmare when you wake up during surgery. I still remember the few seconds vividly, but there were no sensations what so ever.

I've been put under for surgery twice.Once for my wisdom teeth and once for having my gall bladder. And I came out of both without a problem.
Well actually when I ahd my wisdom teeth cut out I had to go back casue my stiches busted open and I had to get them re-done.

Well, that doesn't sound fun.
I have also been put under for surgery twice. Had wisdom teeth and jaw surgery last year.
