Director Zack Snyder appears to be assembling 2010's hottest cast, with Watchmen star Carla Gugino joining his forthcoming fantasy Sucker Punch.
According to Variety, Gugino will play Mrs. Schultz, a nurse at an insane asylum where the patients include Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone, Abbie Cornish and the film's star, Lemony Snicket actress Emily Browning.
Story is set in the 1950s and revolves around the girls retreating to an alternate reality to escape the horrors of the institution.
Gugino will also play a brothel madam in this parallel universe.
Snyder has written the script and will produce alongside his wife Debra, with Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures overseeing the project.
Sucker Punch will shoot in Vancouver this autumn, although there's still no word on a helmer.
