So I made a thread just a little while ago about bandwidth DL usage being a bit fucked up, right?
It's confirmed.
Yesterday apparently I downloaded 8gb, yet all I did was browse, deliberately not downloading a thing.
Today I've apparently downloaded over 1.2gb yet, to further this "test", the pc has been on all night and the net has not been used, the modem was left on and that's all...
So, today I'm contacting the police to actually get them to pursue the matter, because essentially it comes down to theft, and I assume they've got a half decent IT guy that's able to track where problems like this come from, at least to the point they can be eradicated - if not to serve charges.
So I have Avira running, also spybot.
Last night I ran a full scan since the pc was going to be on anyways, and it seemed to have found 2 "suspicious" items it considered malware.
Perhaps this was part of the problem, but it must've originated somewhere, right?
I mean it's not sending much out, it's DOWNLOADING so...I assume this has to benefit someone.
Is there any other programs you guys can reco that can actually IDENTIFY foreign systems/machines accessing my connection?
I don't even give a fuck as to the outcome here, I just want it stopped.
