Just checked this out and I was really impressed - but warning if you are expecting DAWN OF THE DEAD or 28 DAYS LATER then you'll be dissapointed.
The film takes place in a radio station which has got reports of an outbreak - the suspense is built with their increasing knowledge of the situation. Its not an action movie but more about how people deal with WHAT IF..
Lots of it reminds me of THE SIGNEL and a bit of THE HAPPENING with regard to its pseudo-intellectual explaination but i went into this with no ideas about it and was very pleasantly suprised...

Just watched this - it is so incredibly like Pontypool.

Its slightly better in that it has Bill Moseley in the lead and lacks the silly explanation/ending.
I wonder which script was written first...

Did Pontypool just get re-released or something? I saw this movie on DVD a while ago... (like six-months ago... maybe?)

Well my original post is 4 months old - I just posted on this again becasue of the similarity between the 2 films.

*immediately adds to Netflix queue*
I liked Pontypool, but I agree that both the "explanation" and ending were really silly (I mean, you have to be able to suspend your disbelief in these movies). I thought that the movie started out strong and didn't need the explanation at all. I like how it played out like an English absurdist play at times. I was also impressed at how effectively it built tension, though. Love Bill Moseley. I'm psyched to check this out. Thanks, Ferox.

Caught this one last night and enjoyed it a lot. The ending was a bit stupid (seems a lot of you felt that way) but this one had a really tense atomosphere and a great cast.
Will be nabbing a copy of Dead Air later to check that one out.
