I've been saying for years i was going to do this - now it's done ..

try to picture this as once a plain white room with horrible blue carpet - and no doors :

same with the dining room (dont at the same time - same floors) - it was all white with this awful blue carpet :

Sweet! Congrats.
The chair looks very inviting.
I am still trying to check if there are any hidden LDs in the racks...

Sweet library!! Is the chair a recliner? The dining room and sunroom look great, too!

Impressive..Very cool.

Though prolly not as comfortable - I always wanted one of those Leather Wingback chair that image Mycroft Holmes would have used in the Diogenes Club.

Nice work! :) Love the floors and you have quite a collection.
When we strike it rich () and can add on here, I want a library as well....that way we could move around our living room without tripping over books and movies.

1) no laserdiscs on the shelves - its 100% books

2) the critters in the sunroom are rats

3) its hardwood (bamboo)

4) the chair is a recliner - its a lazyboy - officially making me an old bastard for real

5) i wanted a wingback looking recliner and my wife said it was too big and ugly - So i went for the smaller recliner - its really comfy though

6) I'm really happy with the collection ... i have enough books there to keep my going.

One corner is filled with stuff i dont like - that i will get rid of as i get new stuff that i do want to keep.

oh - and that nasty ass carpet in the sunroom has already been replaced (just last night) with a better one by my wife...

The Sunroom walls were alive with rats, scampering and milling whilst Nigger-Man was racing about with the fury of a baffled hunter.

Brilliant, Urge. Couldn't hope for a better one!

Roughly, how many of those books have you read?

Oh, and have you got some kind of sorting system?

urgeok2
07-21-2009, 04:58 PM
how many ? no idea - probably just a small percentage - there's 1000's there.

they're sorted by genre - and size - thats about it

That's a cool library. I'm wanting to do something like that at some point, but my current place doesn't have the room.

very little - oddly enough - i cant stand 99% of horror fiction :)

probably the worst written genre there is (in general - there are always exceptions)

Weird - I assumed that if your account was in status "banned," you wouldn't be able to log in? Is that a bug?

Not that I don't mind you logging in, of course. :p

Cool library, by the way. Are you for hire? I could use a handy man. ;)
