i'm a little slow so i just watched this movie...it was okay..nothing special IMO
it just wasn't all that scary to me. the acting was okay. i was kinda disheartened to see the seasoned R. LEE ERMEY in the pic. may be it's just me. i can't get into this movie no matter how hard i try or how many variations i watch, but if i had to pick it's generally my opinion that the original is always best.

i also have to point something out..what is with the dolls in these movies? honestly. it was in wrong turn, and house of a thousand corpses, and of course TCM. there's always these dolls stuck to the sides of these houses or they make some appearance in the film. what is up with that? who's the devilish mastermind who said if you wanna make these movies really scary and derranged there must be dolls! i don't get it. if you ask me it's a sure fire way to be noticed. i think, some dolls head that's got barbed wire around it screams somethings definitely wrong here.

As far as remakes go ,I thought it was pretty good also. And lets face it, if you ever walked in a house and saw a bunch of dolls with their eyes poked out or burnt up with barbed wire wrapped around them ,you would be pretty freaked out.WOULDN'T YA.
I bet you would.

i didnt watch it cuz it looked shittty, but i have quite refined tastes

speaking of eyes.. i remember a few years ago on 60 minutes or one of those, about a little girl that hated eyes. so everyone in her house wore sunglasses, even her stuffed animals. and in all her books and coloring books all the eyes, she would white out.

weirddddddddddddd. couldnt find an article on here but the word is Ommatophobia, Ommetaphobia

...witch hunter robin had an episode with a lot of nast little dolls (like puppet master) but i didnt get to watch it. but its gonna be repeating one of these nights

So is the re-make a good blind buy? I've been thinking about doing that.

I FOUND IT PRETTY GOOD FOR A MODERN RE-MAKE OF A CLASSIC HORROR FILM.

I think the dolls are a symbol of fear but also a symbol of inocence. The point is kids carry them, what happened to the kids? If what we see happens to the adults wtf happened to the kids etc.
As kids toys they are in a way sacred to most people, it's just that we aren't normal :)

First off let me ask, whats withe camera being glued to Erins ass thru the whole movie? I mean it was nice to see but everytime I turned around her ass was right in the camera. Normally i wouldnt complain but i was in it for the horror. This remake lacked sensability. Slow but conforming and a good cast. It was alright.

Oh really? Uugh, One more reason for me to pass this remake right on by.

In case you haven't seen me rant about this movie before, I'll do it again.

I HATED HATED HATED HATED HATED HATED HATED HATED HATED HATED HATED this movie! As far as remakes go, this is the WORST! Not just horror, but in general (and I've seen Last Man Standing). It's the most insipid, boring and clichéd excuse for a geek movie at least of the entire year.

you know I was referring to the Bruce Willis movie, right?
