So, I've never been much of a PS2 vs XBOX guy...each system has their selling points...though working for Playstation, I have discovered Microsoft does seem to have a bit more pull with exclusives, but yeah...I've always just said "each to their own". That said, the controller and the system are VERY chunky, may take some getting used to, and I AM disappointed that I need something extra to play dvds, but hey, it's only a temporary console until I upgrade in about a month and a bit.
For enquiring minds - I'll be getting the 360

Why am I pleasantly surprised?
*The chunky ass controller aint that bad to use.
*Lots of games, LOTS, that I haven't played.
*Theyre all cheap now
*Microsoft games - I've always liked them on pc, there's more of 'em.

That, and...I picked up a game I've NEVER heard of, and I'm really digging it.

Sudeki - Has anyone played this one?
It seems simple enough, elements of fable and dungeon siege up in there, but it's nice, easy to control, and fun to walk around in (which is all I've done thus far).
It's just one of those games that's hit me almost immediately as one I'll keep.

On the other hand...the 50cent game sucks IMO - I just dont "get" those games where one stick controls the character and the other controls the targeting reticle, I feel like I'm just running around like a retard most of the time - they work for pc, but not console, not for me....that and it seems like a fucking bland generic run n gun.

Any suggestions for a swap?

I played a demo of Sudeki a long time ago. Reminded me a lot of Fable. Always meant to pick up a copy of it, but I never got around to it.

Never played the 50Cent games. They just don't look interesting.

Pick up a copy of Stubbs The Zombie, if you can find one.

Yeah I played that one on pc - not bad...but I think it would work better on console, so I might give it another go.

What else is half decent?

I just opened a list of mine. I'm going to name off the ones that I thought were the best:

Breakdown (Good, but hard)

Freedom Fighters

Halo 1 & 2 (Of course)

Thief: Deadly Shadows

The Chronicles Of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay

Otogi: Myth Of Demons

Ninja Gaiden

Fable

Crimson Skies

There are others, but I think some of them may have been multi-platform, and chances are, you've played them. I think a couple of these may be as well....

I could just post a list of the ones I have, if you don't see any here that interest you.
