Im meeting him exactly an hour from now for a book signing, what should I say?
Im a bit nervous as i haven't had any real celeb interaction before, I'll probably just end up asking him some cliche question about the hobbit.

Tell him to pull himself together and make some better movies.
That should be the perfect ice breaker and the beginning of a long and beautiful friendship.
Seriously, ask him out about the new Hobbit.
Or even better, ask him about The Hobbit 2. WTF is that??
Ask him which actor he would prefer to play Bilbo.

when in doubt I like to simply thank someone for the hours of sheer enjoyment... it always makes an artist smile

I asked him if he had any projects lined up after the Hobbit, he said "no, I'll be close to 50 and in an insane asylum by then!" real nice dude with a good sense of humor.

nothing else too interesting, I spoke to him briefly about how my dad used to read me The Hobbit as a kid and how I'm stoked he's the one who's adapting it to a film.
My buddy has a job at a radio station and Del Toro gave him his contact details for an interview which is pretty sweet though.
