So now that the sizzling season has officially started, what's everyone's plans and how hard has the heat and/or humidity been hitting your neck of the woods? Anyone traveling or having stay-cations? Camp? BBQs? Share it here.

I had booked a 1 week cruise trip in the mediterranean sea followed by a 1 week stay at a hotel in sicily.

Those plans got cancelled.

Then i signed up for 2 weeks of music summer school (bandcamp?) in the contry.

All classes turned out to be full.

Instead i can look forward to spend 3 weeks on my couch watching movies, playing guitar and PS3, when i'm not at the nearby beach. Just like all my other summer vacations the last many years. Damn... :(

That sucks. :( Why'd they get cancelled? Can't you reschedule or try a different beachy spot?

One of my two co-travellers was diagnosed with cancer a month ago. So no.

Suddenly the trip wasn't that important anymore.

Summers here, are humid, sticky, nasty and with the humidity up, too hot to go outside at all really. Yesterday, we had a heat stroke advisory, that you should be outside, no longer than 15 minutes at a time.

Not to mention, my skin burns very easy, and I have a condition that I'm not going to even try to spell, that basically keeps me from sweating.

I hate summer....

Pretty hot here, and thankfully the overlords at my school have acknowledge the stupidity of black blazers in the summer, and we've been allowed to go without for a while.

72 Degrees in the shade.

You.... LUCKY bastards!!

A good summer day in Denmark is a day where there's no snow blocking the doorway.

Seriously, the weather this month, except for a couple of nice days, has been windy, rainy and quite cold. WE HATE!!

Thanks newb.

I just found out that I got an incredible part in a production for the local theatre company's Theatre on the Edge festival, which will be in the middle of August.

What makes it so incredible? It's a one act play...and a one man show. Meaning, I get the stage entirely to myself for about 25 minutes or so, performing a brilliant piece by a Nova Scotian playwright.

Also meaning, of course, that I've got a shitload of work to do. So pretty much my next few weeks are going to be drilling the script into my head, then working like mad with the director to get the whole show perfect.

Otherwise, my summer will consist of getting ready for school in the fall, hopefully spending some time at the beach (which I'm gaining a newfound love for), and capping off the season with the Festival of Fear in Toronto.

Should be a pretty solid summer, and I'm sure enjoying it so far.
