Remember the old C64 game, Friday the 13th? I thought not...

Well, it has been cracked and updated, with numerous changes and bug fixes. And it is available here (http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=77412) for your enjoyment.

I remember playing this game a fair bit when it was new (well over 20 years ago now). This is a great update to an old classic.

This file is in .d64 format, which is a Commodore 64 disk image. So you can either play it in an emulator (I recommend VICE for C64 emulation in Windows); or you can transfer it to a 5.25" disk for playing on a real Commodore 64 (by far the best option if you can).

Have fun!

The original you're referring to, is that the same one that was on NES?
...Always quite liked the NOES one that came out around then, but can't say I ever got into f13, looked interesting enough but felt a little like I was walking in circles or something?
I'll take a look at this one.

There was a Friday the 13th game for the NES, but it was different to the C64 version.

The NES version was better IMO. At least it was possible to win - the C64 version was an endless loop.

I transferred this to a 5.25" floppy and played it on a Commodore 128D today. It plays very well. Quick movement and transitions between screens. Only played it briefly, so didn't get to see all the gore screens. But from what I saw, it does seem like a good update of the original.
