ok - so i started a thread about angels and demons conspiracy that got moved but i'm wondering if people really think any of the conspiarcy ideas are true. for me i dno't really believe the religious/mythological ones but the alien and government stuff seems like ti could be true.

here are some i think might be true or maybe probably are:

no moon landing - there is so much evidence if you look really deep into it that says no american ever stepped foot on the moon and the pictures were all faked

no mars rovers - i read a great thing on-line with documents that were from nasa about how it couldn't work and they couldn't land it and then they suddenly land on the moon

area 51 - i totally believe that the government knows abotu aliens and ufos and stuff and they have to put it somewhere. i read about someone saying that that alien autopsy film was really real but discredited by the government hwo put pressure on the tv show to discredit it - who knows??

Big Foot - definitely!

Well, it's a known fact that Area 51 exists. Hell, you can find it on Google Earth. The conspiracy is what they may or may not do there. I once snuck in and saw the most mind blowing thing in the world, it will destroy any pre conceptions you have about our place in the universe and whether or not life is ou- Hold on. I believe 9/11 was an inside job, to a degree. I won't get into the details though.

I don't believe for a second that the U.S. or any other country has ever had men on the moon. This supposedly took place where 3 men in a fucking tin-can got to the moon in the 60's, when luggage didn't even have wheels on it? I don't fucking think so.

You know I believe that JFK was killed from the inside. Always the good one's that die.

Project MK-ULTRA,

Project MK-ULTRA, or MKULTRA, was the code name for a covert CIA mind-control and chemical interrogation research program, run by the Office of Scientific Intelligence. The program began in the early 1950s, continuing at least through the late 1960s, and it used United States citizens as its test subjects.[1][2][3] The published evidence indicates that Project MK-ULTRA involved the surreptitious use of many types of drugs, as well as other methods, to manipulate individual mental states and to alter brain function

I like the Theory that Jonestown was a testing ite for the project..

For the no Moon landing ppl I always prefered the Alternative 3 one where yes - the moon landing was faked but only to cover the fact we'd been there years and there were secert bases built there.

i read that they did land on the moon but found the ruins of an alien civilization and were afraid people would freak out.

a friend of mine also just sent me this cryptic e-mail about rumors that there wasn't a korean nuclear test but some sort of other 'incident' - the n. korea thing is a cover-up and this is also why the prez is in africa. she didn't tell me what the theories were but probably will at some point - she is totally paranoid about govt wiretapping and such.

Area 51 and alien coverups definitely get my geek senses tingling. I LOVE those kind of paranormal conspiracies.

I'd be interested to hear how Noah feels about 9/11 because I think I'd probably agree with him. Not an inside job, per se, but purposeful obtuseness to an end.

Big Foot - definitely!

I don't think that Bigfoot is a conspiracy theory - I don't think he's made up to manipulate people or that his existence is being covered up. He's one of my favorite cryptids, though.

You're right - They're actually not "cats." They're actually highly intelligent molerats rescued from an underground government base in Texas. Calling them "cats" is the only way that I can keep them safe... until we take over the WORLD.

Anyone who hasn't, please read Robert Anton Wilson & Robert Shea's Illuminatus Trilogy. It will change your life forever!

I've always been interested in Polybius.

Supposedly, it was this arcade game that appeared in 2-3 locations in Oregon during the early 80's. The game itself was something like a psychedelic puzzler kind of thing.

As the story goes, kids got scary addicted to it, and most of the people that played it started experiencing all kinds of night terrors, hallucinations, amnesia, suicide...you name it. Your typical "men in black" would show up daily and collect data from the machines, which led people to believe it was some kind of government experiment.

It's all rumor and speculation, and there is nothing resembling evidence in any way, shape or form...but as far as urban legends and conspiracy theories go, I've always found it cool.

I don't how I feel about conspiracy theories. There's an element of science missing from them. Sure there's some made up shit as to a nonlunar landing, but there's a hell of a lot of strong evidence to support it.

Area 51 and the whole alien thing... I'm just not sure I buy all that, especially now. I'd think we'd all be a little more "in touch" with things by now. I think that said aliens would be a little more open and not so keen on being kept in the dark.

All kidding aside: almost all conspiracy theories are bunk.

It's not that conspiracies don't happen, it's that they can't be kept secret for the same reason most other crimes don't remain secret: people love to talk talk talk. Sure, you might have one loyal G. Gordon Liddy type henchman who can keep his mouth shut. But most of those involved are likely to be mediocre, career-minded bureaucrats and sooner or later one of them squeals.

Real conspiracies are much more mundane than the ones in typical conspiracy theories.

Exactly. I used to believe 9/11 was planned from top to bottom by the government - But I don't think I believe that anymore. I believe it was more intentional ignorance on the govt's part actually. The lack of preparation, the complete unpreparedness and response to something this massive was certainly NO coincidence, at least not in my mind.

I think they knew SOMETHING majorly bad was going to happen, and maybe even knew some of the details. But just chose to do absolutely fuckall about it.

When I first started watching the tragedy as it unfolded that day (before realizing what was happening) - I thought: "Why's everyone freaking out over a demolition of a couple of buildings?" - I was at work, and had no clue about the planes, or the details of it all.

Having said that, I DO believe there absolutely were bombs in the basement of the WTC Towers, thus causing them to collapse very similar to that of buildings that've been demolished professionally. I also think it's very suspect that the owner of the towers just so happened to buy a HUGE insurance policy on both properties several months prior to 9/11 as well. (I'm not sure on the specifics).

Also, I question whether the horrendous events that took place that day, would've happened, had the winner of the 2000 Presidential Election Al Gore, actually would've been the President at that time. If they would've taken place, I question how severe, or on what scale they would've occured with him in office, being far more cogniscent and aware/caring than the piece of shit administration that was in there at the time.

I think overall we may never know what truly happened that day, or why. It's just unfortunate the whole thing had to happen to begin with....

The idea of the government as a whole knowing about 9/11 before it happened is purposterous. Only the very few who needed to know did, and of course they fumbled around afterward, being prepared looks suspicious. There was too much to gain for particular people for me not to think some Americans were at the bottom of 9/11(Did you catch that awesome pun!:)

Bigfoot, he's as real as the Boogyman. Ancient American Indian folklore about the 'Hairy Man', describe the creature in a very frightening way, I believe this was intentional to scare children. If a child were to wander too far off, the Hairy Man would carry them away in a basket on it's back and raise them into more Hairy Men. The idea of this elusive man-like creature was simply too alluring to our psyche to leave behind, so once we hear the tail of Bigfoot we simply want to believe-after it stops scaring the shit out us that is. Bigfoot is easily my favorite crypto-creature, it's so difficult to disprove and fun to believe in.
