This needs a bit of introduction;

I have a friend who's last name is Meen. We've always called him Meenie. Anyway, some college kids who me and Meenie are doing a play with pointed out how much it sounded like Weenie, so all day I've been taking the piss out of him, calling him Weenie.

Then I mentioned Weenietober, the special month dedicated to Weenies. At first it was just a laugh, then we considered something...could you not fit in another month? August and July were slotted in late. Why not another one? Of course, you could do it the hard way and take a few days off of each month to make them all roughly 25 days and fit it in. Or, you could try and fit a fully 30 day month in there, but then over twelve years the months wouldn't fit to our preconceived ideas of weather or holiday times of year.

Soooo, we thought of a simple solution. Take the last five days of one months and rename them as a Micro-month. We've chosen the last five days of June, making our new month the start of the Summer (or at least, it's around the time that the Summer Holidays start). We've yet to choose a name for it.

But the point is, what if this was actually done? It could be. It would mess things up a bit but you could do the original idea of cutting down each month and lending days to the new one. What if Obama decides he's special enough to have Obember? What would you want a new month to be called? Where would you want it to fit in? And why not create your own Micromonth? Urgust? Newbember? Papily Noirember?

The perfect calendar already exists- 13 months of 28 days each, with an extra day at the end. It fits the lunar/solar cycles perfectly. The ancient Celts used it.

I've been wanting to take 3 hours out of every day and add a third day to the weekend, but everybody thought I was crazy.

Not in here they don't.

Sounds Homerish.

So why not go back to that? There must be people out there who still use that calendar.

I started working on a theory for an eight day week last year. Where you would have a 3 day weekend every week, shorter days awell. I ended up giving up on it, I wasn't get much interest. I didn't think I could ever get it instated.

I think Micro-Months are a cool idea. Our old calendar needs some spicing up! :D

Me and my friend now officially have two micro-months. Weenietober, replacing the last five days of June and Brollember replacing the last five days of November. Brollember is kinda my one. The name comes from the older kids in the play's nickname for me; Brolly. It stems from the 'Briel' part of 'Gabriel'.

It signifies the start of Winter, my favourite season, and the last day of Brollember is the Broliday. Celebrate it however you want. It's just basically an excuse.

"Why didn't you file your report, Henderson?"

"Chill out, it's Broliday!"

Your nickname is Brolly... man, that is so gay, kids can truly be cruel.

I'd much rather have my nickname taken from that part of my name than the first syllable.
