Calling all musicians and music lovers!

We all know that many of the members here are musicians, be it by their promotion of their bands of photographs of their playing instruments, but I'm not convinced that we've seen everybody. So, come on, if you play an instrument, FLAUNT IT! BE PROUD! I know I am.

Post pictures, videos or links to your websites; ANYTHING. Music is one of the greatest things a person can make, no matter what form it is in (Apart from that eastern European crap :p)

I'll kick it off. I play piano, at around a grade 4/5 level. I can play quite a large range of music, and of the more mainstream pieces I know there's; I would do anything for Love by Meatloaf, Angels by Robbie Williams and Viva La Vida by Coldplay (seen in the video below.) I'm currently learning Ashes to Ashes by David Bowie, which is proving more difficult than I had anticipated!

Here's me in a town near mine playing a public piano. It's a bit out of tune and I make a few mistakes due to my memory wavering and my unfamiliarity with the piano.

It's one thing to see all of you great musicians on this site, but it would be so great to hear you all. So please, if you have anything on iTunes, Youtube or even facebook/myspace; SHOW YOURSELVES!

Ferret that was great. Plus we got to hear you speak. "I messed up on the last corde." That's really wonderful, though, that you can play so well.

I'm a Jill of all trades with instruments. I could play the flute quite well, and I used to be able to play the violin, although I found myself to be better at playing music from Ireland than Classical, which is what I really wanted to do.

I ended up selling my silver flute and piccolo for two hundred bucks to save my cat's life. (He's still with me). So I haven't played in years. I couldn't even begin to remember how to play the violin, but I expect, if someone showed me the basics, it wouldn't take me any time to be throwin' out those Irish tunes again.

Oh, and if you play flute, you can naturally play the oboe, and I can play the oboe as well, but there's a trick to the breathing that I don't really get. So it sounds, well, duckish

As for my shit...well, I've got one vid in the thread above, but it's not great. The band had another show last weekend, but the footage turned out AWFUL. Our guitarist is trying to get them cleaned up - if anything turns out, I'll post here. It was a pretty solid show, hopefully some of that comes through in the the videos.

Haunted: I've always thought the flute looked particularly difficult to play. Having to still use your lungs, but yet not make contact with your lips! As for violin, I wouldn't even try to use one of those for risk of embarrasment. They look so difficult!

Bit of both. The operator wasn't paying much attention so he's shooting all over the place, plus we only had the on-board mic for my camera, which isn't great.

Oh well - I think one or two songs might be salvageable, we'll see shortly.

i have a recent video of me playing in an honor band at the University of Evansville....but i have no idea how to upload it or anything so....

but anyways....

i do play bassoon, soprano/alto/tenor/bari saxophone, and percussion (i'm pretty good at the mallet stuff, but i was slightly mediocre with the whole snare drum crap)
