Both bands are often compared to one another, but which is better in your opinion, and why?

I have to go with Black Sabbath. I think they defined the metal genre way more than Zeppelin did, and while I like both bands for their classic/metal styles... Sabbath did it way better.

What do you think?

I enjoy them to an extent (mainly just Stairway, Kashmir, Misty Mountain, and Black Dog) but I think a lot of their work is fairly dry.

depends on my mood. I find Zeppelin to be much bluesier than Sabbath

Ive never cared for Led Zepplin. I like a few of thier songs, but for the most part I find them way overated. I realize they did alot for the rock/metal genre but I just find them bland and boring.

On a side note, I feel the same way about Pink Floyd.

Who edited the thread? If I wanted a poll I would've made one.

SABBATH!

They had more of a part in changing music forever.

Zeppelin are just overblown shithead rockstar bullshit with no heart. That bullshit with their manager/security guy in The Song Remains The Same shows what a pack of pricks they were.

Dude was just being really heavy handed (attacking people) with people taking photos, wearing/selling bootleg shirts.
