Got to revisit this old campy grindhouse classic last night. Anyone who hasnt seen it make it a point to visit this one at least once (**cough ELVIS cough**).
Let me warn ya first - the movie is cheesy as hell with plenty of bad effects, atrocious dialogues and some of the most outrageous costumes ever seen in C-grade sci-fi trashies. Yet, the movie is a wonderful piece of cheap entertainment, mostly cuz of its cast (Chris Plummer, Joe Spinell and a very, very young David Hasselhoff) and the drop-dead gorgeous Caroline Munro.
Sure, it rips off a lot of contemporary flicks and does a piss-poor job of it, but hey...how many "brilliant" ripoffs have we seen yet? Bottomline - if you are a fan of flicks such as Galaxina, Barbarella, even One Million Years BC, then grab some beers, and enjoy laughing your ass off at this one.
