when was the last fight you had? have you ever fought at all? do you like to fight?did you win? why did you fight?what would you fight for?

im not much of a fighter, i have to say my last fight was in high school(9years). i can probably call it "the fight that changed my life", buts thats another story.

i did win, he tried to headlock me and i suplexed him and his head hit the wall. after that i head butt him.lol

that was a real short version,im about to play gta.

why i fought was because that guy and another dude had jumped me at the park the day before.

I don't know if you could call it a fight, but some drunk dick started beating on me at a bus stop because I wouldn't give him my food. He and his two drunk cohorts ran off when he couldn't knock me over and I got the police on my cell phone. That was about a year or 2 ago.

I've had a few, most were quite some time ago.
I generally don't get attacked even by drunks, I'm kind've the "big guy" so yeah that tends to deter any, or most attacks.
Some guy WANTED to fight me a while ago, over an incident that involved alcohol a few nights prior (basically, we didn't know him...he, myself and a friend spat allover the back windows of a bus we were in, when myself and the friend got off, we said there was a guy in the back spitting everywhere) he caught up with me, started mouthing off, he walked when my girlfriend took my bag.
Aside from that there's been an altercation with some security officers that lead to me being charged with assault, nothing too bad was done to either of them though, they were just...smaller than me?
See?
Alcohol is the common theme here, which is why it's not my drug of choice.
I got smacked around a few times in early high school before I had a pretty big growth spurt, so I decided to do something about it - I used to do some muay thai boxing and went in a couple of local tournys, won by tko once, points in another, and lost by disqualification in another (kickboxing rules), then there was the "fight" that got me more or less asked to leave my first high school too, a slightly older guy that'd picked on me for a while slammed my head from behind into a counter, I started bleeding and guess I lost it a little and he had a fair few injuries, I mean, so did I...but they didn't looka at it that way. HE got suspended...the guy that started it, and was older...why? a sympathy trip.
Some other stuff, but not really anything I should really have a conversation about - I think the idea is, try not to start fights - - Even though I walk away from most of mine, I either always get hurt, or end up hurting someone else more than I'd like to...makes me not really feel myself, my advice is be prepared to do it if you need to by whatever means, but if it's not really called upon, just don't.

I got into a fight with a complete stranger up in Belfast once. He was wearing nothing but a pair of shorts despite it being early spring...

Weirdly enough - after he beat me up we shook hands. i then went for a beer.

I haven't been in a fight since grade 9. I said this girl was an attention whore, and a guy heard me say it. He decided watching a chick fight would be amusing or something so he tole her I called her a whore. She jumped me after school and was pulling my hair and being a real girl about things. I let her, walked home in the rain. Found out a year later that she was the pastor's daughter so I figure that explains it.

Unless altercations with relatives count,I've never been in a fight. Once(when I was about 6 or 7) I was swinging this really wet, soggy dishcloth rather swiftly and all of a sudden I let go when my brother walked by. Let's just say there was trouble South of the Border. About 6months after that I visited my Aunt. Her son (my cousin) and I were playing, when all of a sudden he decided to snatch back the toy he allowed me to play with. Mind you 30 minutes before we started playing--his mother was lecturing me about standing up to bullies and such, fighting back and all that Jazz. So I figured, even if he was related to me-he was fair game. So because I was reallly into wrestling, when he came back in my direction I jack-knifed powerbombed him on the bed.

I guess that counts for something. :)

But when it comes to outiside people, I've never gotten to a point where someone and I had to "put out our dukes" to settle things. I've seen plenty of fights though. I don't know if that makes me weird or anything, but nearly everyone I talk to has been in at least one if not several fights.--except me. Guess I'm a lover and not a fighter....lol :p

Not since the bullshit days of high school.

I've had a few verbal standoffs with drunks that could've turned into a fight but that didn't eventuate.

I hate drunks that choose then and there to "prove themselves" and fuck up the day/night of whoever they're around.
Knowing that I'm about to do a security related job, liscenced places will be the last I choose to work for/around. All going well I'll have a nice big German Shepherd to back me up too.

Fought a lot when I was a kid. I was very overweight, now I'm 5'11 220 which isn't miles to go but it isn't great either. Anyway, there was a lot of playground brawling in my childhood, won a fair amount of the time until in the fifth grade I came up against a kid whose family had been training him in wrestling. My mother had trained me in some martial arts since she'd been in a marine and I'd been used to using it on violent classmates, but the martial arts didn't matter once I was down in the mud with this kid who would one day be captain of the wrestling team holding me down. That was my second to last fight. During my last one, I took a powerful right to the jaw which made eating solids very difficult for a day or two. I was eating pizza like a snake. I almost got in a lot of fights when I was living in Pennsylvania, but my girlfriend dragged me away from them. I'd pick up a brick or a bottle I found laying on the street run toward the redneck who just called me fag and said "I'm gonna take your woman" and then she'd call me off. Funny thing is, this happened at a park like ten feet away from the police station. The rage I felt in that town turned into my book.

A couple years ago I got jumped by 4 G-bangers after bar close. I was walking with a group of about 15 friends on our way to an after bar, when all of a sudden 3 of us were getting punched over the 12 pack of beer I was carrying. I was drunk to the point where I didn't feel any of the punches, but couldn't fight back. They all ran off when they realised how many people there were in our group, but they did manage to smash most of my beer on the ground before they did:mad: . The girls in our party ended up doing more damage than any of us guys that night:) That was the last time I was punched by a stranger.

As I approached the bus shelter, I could see the three of them- youngish street thug types who has obviously been there quite some time getting shitfaced. They were yelling at passing cars and I knew I didn't want to deal with them at all, so I stood down at the corner, a quarter of a block away and attempted to ignore them. I was holding a full bag of groceries and eating a chicken strip I had gotten at the store.

The leader of the bunch, a wiry guy about 4 or 5 inches taller than me and 30 years my junior started yelling at me to come over and share what I had. I still ignored them, but he got louder and louder and started cursing at me. I figured I should say something, and maybe he'd shut up, so I said no thanks, I'm fine, just waiting for the bus.

This was apparently the wrong answer, as he then came over and told me I'd better hand over the chicken. I said I don't think so, and he started hitting me in the face and stomach, knocking off my glasses. I was pretty handicapped, holding this huge bag of groceries, but I knew I wasn't letting go of it because I can't afford to lose a week's worth of food. I bent over to pick up my glasses and he started hitting me in the back of my head, repeatedly. I was taggered, but I knew I wasn't going to go down and let them grab my groceries, so I took my cell phone out of my pocket. The guy tried to grab that, but I wasn't going to let him have that either, and I managed to punch 911 and told the lady that answered that I was at he corner of so and so and this guy is beating the crap out of me.

And the assholes ran away.

I ended up with some lumps on my head and bruises on my chest that hurt for several days, but I did get a ride home in a cop car.

Back in high school.

Fought a LOT.

Loved it, fought at the drop of a hat and it was pretty damn stupid of me.

Most of the time. ;)

From being hit in the back of the head with a book to having water spilled on me, the reasons run the gambit.

Now? Not much, family... friends... my life. I've decided fighting isn't worth it (real fighting, competition doesn't count) and with all the repercussions I'm going to try and stay away. If I do get into a fight the reason will have to be good enough for me to either hospitalize the person or end up there myself.

I don't care now...

I have a temper and it was a lot worse, combine that with loving to fight and some social anxiety and if somebody bumped me in the hall I'd be ready to fight. I went too far a few times but I've never left any permanent damage, got suspended a lot but never expelled, and I've never been to jail so I consider that a win.

Oh, and so's your face. ;)

last fight i got in was in high school.

it was with someone who was my best friend before that. he was a guy with horrible acne .. it caused him to be understandably self concious and have low self esteem so he chose to put me down in front of people to make himself feel better. (i've always preferred the humor of putting myself down rather than others for comedy)

anyway - it was escalating to the point where i didnt want to be around him anymore - unfortunately we were on the same ball team and shared some mutual friends.

one day after batting practice one of our friends was coming to meet him and said hi to me in passing .. asked how the pracice went - and i said - "really well - i hit great - that should shut Terry up for a while"

so i'm walking away and get pretty far when i hear Terry yelling across the field : "shut me up ? - come here and see if you can shut me up" or some such nonsense...

I've always been a pacifist .. would avoid fights no matter what - but every now and then i had a breaking point. When Terry and i hung around he fancied himself to be a tough guy - if we wrestled or play fought (as guys did back then) i couldnt take it seriously and would just laugh - obviously giving Terry the impression he was tougher than me. I was 6'2" but very thin at the time.

anyway - i get over to Terry and he's mouthing off at me so - still a bit confused at this whole reaction i start making a joke of it - taking my jacket off and handing it to my friend - acting like a fancy boy wrestler ...
he kept mouthing off so after a bit i finally said "so what are you going to do Terry - hit me ?" (while tapping my fingers under his chin... so he did, a light glancing shot of my right cheek.

without any thought - just pure reaction i hit back - 3 times - a right, a left, and a right.

Terry reeled back .. his nose and both lips were bleeding.... he looked scared and was calling me an animal ! i still laugh about that today ... yeah i'm an animal because i have better reflexes, instinct, and hand eye coordination than he does.

so i sent the quarterback of the high school football team to school the next day with a bashed in face :D

the punchline to this whole thing is : when my father passed away last november - my wife gets an email - forwarded through my mother (who i dont speak to - she doesnt have my email address) from Terry to me ...

he's a missionary overseas somewhere (when not the pastor of his church .. just a few miles from where i live !) telling me how sorry he is .. and that he still remembers the day he was stupid enough to take me on in a fight..

i graciously accepted his note by deleting it and not replying.

this is like 30 years later - but i'd fucking love to do it again.

Never?

I was the genius who got into the middle of fights and stopped them, only to realize later that I could have gotten my ass kicked in the process. I'm in my late 20's and have yet to have a fight.

(Unless of course you count my cousin biting the hell out of me every couple of days when we were like 6)

I never really got picked on physically (though mentally was another story) when I was kid since I was taller than everyone else. I grew early and was the tallest in my class (boys included) until high school. I'm 5'11" now, so I think people tend not to try to start something with tall people.

The closest I ever came to a fight was when I was dating an alcoholic. He was drunk at a bar and I was trying to get him to leave and he took a swing at me with an empty glass in his hand. I was relatively sober, with apparently quick reflexes and I caught the glass before it hit my face, then tore it out of his hand and pushed him. Needless to say we are no longer together.

I've never looked for a fight, but if I came down to it, I'm not going to let someone push me around or hurt me. Sometimes you can't avoid a fight.

when i was in high school i got in a lot of fights. i have a bad habit of not putting up with bullies or shit like that. my favorite was in english lit class when this 'bad boy' behind me started poking me with a pencil and talking shit - i suddenly got up and pulled him out of his chair and slammed him onto the floor (of course then his buddy punched me in the head and it got messy until the asst. principal came in and pulled us apart - i'd say i got the worst of it - split lip and black eye - but the look on the dude's face when i pulled him out of his desk was priceless).

i'm much more calm now - but as with others my last 'fight' was in a parking lot with a drunk. oddly i was sober. a coworker and i had been working really late and gone to grab a really early (2am) breakfast at a waffle house when this drunk guy with his friends was coming in while we were leaving and for some reason decided we had 'disrespected' him. so he talks shit and we keep walking and then he runs up and grabs my coat. well, i've taken about six years of aikido and without too much thought or effort (drunks are easy prey) i wrist locked him to the ground and left him spewing and spitting up on the gravel parking lot as we calmly got into the car and drove away. the hilarious part is that i'm no great 'martial artist' - i like aikido more for the philosophy and discipline than for 'self-defense' but my coworker ran around telling this increasingly elaborate story of me fighting off angry drunks in the parking lot. i think i got a whole new level of respect after that (of course, knocking a drunk over is really not that complicated)

The most I've ever done to hurt anyone was I spit on this girl, then slapped her hard across the face. She had been taunting me for a long time on the bus then I finally just blew up. I've never punched anyone I don't think.

Wow, spitting is pretty bold....and nasty.

Some of my friends have told me after they win a fight and beat some one up, stomp and then spit on them as a "final touch". I think though that's like one of the upmost forms of disrespect. You have to be pretty irate with someone to do that I think. I understand a clean fight--but there's a thin line between respectfully winning and humiliating someone.

And Despare, yes I see your point and agree.

I dunno, where I wouldn't spit on someone personally...these days, if it was a fight I had tried to avoid, or if myself or girl were assaulted, I might throw in an ankle stomp so that when they're walking with a limp for a while, they'll think about it, know better than to attack innocent people?
I like to teach, just another form of guidance, the way I look at it.
But that said...I'd have to be at risk to even consider entering into another fight, see, 'cos I'm a nice guy

Tending bar in Hollywood, I've had to jump in and help break up several fights, which usually involved me getting punched in the mouth or me ramming someone's head into the door in the good old "bum's rush" exit. Every so often things would come to blows, but fighting in a packed club is hard to do.

Quit that job two years ago and haven't soiled the knuckles since... thank god
