saturday during the day i assist with the floor installation.. if there's time after that i may go to the club and shoot photos of the black belt competition and grading. after that - throw a baseball around in the park.
sunday friends are coming to visit ..............and thats the weekend.

the hardwood floors are the 1st step .. FINALLY the library is being built .should be done withing 2 - 3 weeks .. i'll be posting pics.
i think you'd like to be over when my friends come ... this particular friend is the one who introduced me to my wife .. he's a very accomplished musician. I dont think you'd like his music (its kind of trippy - beatles based) but you'd certainly appreciate his guitar and/or drum skills.
he once sat on a couch between dan lanois and dan's brother bob to watch a music video of himself that bob shot at a show we were at.
the guy has some amazing connections. (has his own band but does tons of session work with many of the area musicians)
so yeah - we always have a ton to talk about

Except for my birthday this week has been quiet... I have only had 2 shifts at my job in the last month so taken up another one in Edinburgh. Worked there last night and didn't get home till 11pm. I don't mind the distance to travel but they rip you off with the train fare. 10 pounds 40 for a return and it only takes 50 minutes.
Anyway, I'm doing that trip again for Saturday and Sunday... So no weekend really. But I am having a whisky and a few Newcastles anyway.
Anzac day tomorrow, How big is that in N.Z Elvis.
Actually I'm going to meet a kiwi girl I'm moving in with in about an hour for a pint. Well, she is going back to N.Z for 2 months and I am taking her room for that period. I hope I'm not pissed by the time I get there.

Sounds great. It'd be awesome to have a library set up. Your friend sounds like he'd be an interesting cat to talk to. Always down to hear people's tunes, I just get bored easily of the usual suspects and tend to rag on 'em but I appreciate a lot of different stuff musically. My girlfriend's spent a bit of time in Canada so I hope to make it over there sometime soon with her. Its a place I've always wanted to visit.

Received my cheque for the Advance on a new bike I had applied for.
The past year was pretty good during recession times so the company is happy with me. Good time to apply for an Advance, specially when its interest-free.
Anyways, the Victor has served me loyally for the past 11 years so it will be a slightly emotional farewell but yeah, moving to the Apache which is a piece of modern dynamite.

I can hardly contain my excitement! Come Monday and the Apache will be in my garage!
Happy weekend, Elvis and the rest of you.

Anzac day tomorrow, How big is that in N.Z Elvis.
Much the same as Aussie dude, dawn parades and a few other things round the country. But because it falls on a Saturday over here most people haven't said boo about it because its not a day off.
enjoy your weekend EC

My AFL team Collingwood always play a big game on Anzac day what ever day it falls on, this year we share it with a few other games, but it is still the biggest thing in Melbourne. I will be up at 5 am to watch it.
The RSL actually came out and said this week Aussies don't deserve a day off on Monday because Anzac day is on a Saturday. None the less, it doesn't matter what day it falls on back home it is always huge. two up, b.b.q's, dawn services.
It's the most Australian day of the year. Even more so than Australia day.

Pretty pumped for this weekend myself...another 3.5 hours of work, then I get to enjoy the most beautiful day we've had all year so far. Planning on a nice long walk with no destination in mind.
Tomorrow I'm heading on a mini road trip with a buddy of mine I havent seen in awhile, which should be a blast. Plus,. this is the first weekend in like 3 weeks that I havent had to work at my 2nd job, which is fucking awesome.

You are as old as you get. Keep the mind young, though.

Thanks, mate!:)
Thats really shitty. Working weekends is no fun at all. Had to do that all through February-March and I know how much it can suck. Thankfully after April that is always out of the way.
Good luck with the weekend, and have a good, long day of rest on Monday.
one hour and fifty-eight minutes til the end of this week. no one has been fired here yet - but all week the rumor has been flying and we were each asked last week to do an update of our job information sheet to determine what exactly it is we do (god you'd think your bosses would freaking know what you get paid to do). i'm just expecting someone to come crashing in and see me on HDC and then say 'well if that's what you waste your time doing you're fired.'
its like an extremely extended version of the apprentice - just waiting for the ax to fall and figure out what next
(of course i know my plan is to move in with rayne and snuggle with posher)

Before moving into the HDC house, decide beforehand who will be daddy spoon and who will be mummy spoon, saves the arguing later on.

It really would be fun to have an HDC house...Of course, you realize, many 'normal' people would be terrified at the thought of even entering a house full of crazed horror fans...Ah, imagine the inventive kills...Err..uhh...I mean...Dinner parties :D

Hows the beast handling V?
My word, hes a beast alright.
I got the Apache RTR 160 FI model, which uses the Fuel Injection technology instead of the old carburettor type engine which came on older bikes. Mine's in dual colors - orange with black.
I took it out for 2 spins till now, and its made me dizzy. It touches 60 kmph almost instantly (around 6 secs), and the top speed its roared on the highway is 115 kmph so far.
Its such a hunk of a bike that it vibrates when its purring through the city streets at 40 kmph, almost as if saying 40-50 kmph isnt his cup of tea.
Yeah, he is a real hunk.

Born to be WILLLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDD!
for the record - i'm still employed (sorry posher and nova - we would have had fun pillow fights)
just had long speech from boss saying 'you know lots of people are being let go - blah blah blah - i stood up for you - blah blah blah - keep working hard - blah blah' - mainly keep my head down and bust my ass and i'll be able to pay rent (oh and kiss boss's ass for next months - ugh)
