I watched the series occasionally but it kind irked me since it had nothing to do with the movies of the same name at all. They just ripped off the name it seemed to try to get viewers to watch it.

Although I will say some of the shows weren't too bad, but the majority of them were just plain stupid imo.

I actually hate this show. It should have had a different title. Not only did it have nothing to do with the movies, it had nothing to do with Friday the 13th the date.

I've heard about this Television series, and I've also heard recently that they're thinking about making a new series related to Friday the 13th movie series, or something like that? Anyone hear about that one.. or am I just going crazy?

I thought the series was good when It was in regular rotation. If it ever airs now, it seems quite boring. The last time I saw it on was about 2-3yrs ago, but the TV series, I believe came out in the late 80's/early 90's? I don't remember.

I heard somewhere that Jason's mask would be found at the end of the series.

Actually the show's title comes from the fact that each antique the group had to retrieve had a type of "bad luck" curse on it.

See , Friday The 13th is related to "Bad Luck".Hence the title.

I remember this from an old Fango , I still have it but don't know where it is.

Remember that chick , Robey, fuck , she was hot!!!

Then they should have called it "Bad Luck: The Series."

But there was never a pre-sold property worth millions known as "Bad Luck".

LOL!!!!

I agree the series was badly titled.

A good title would have been "Cursed".
IMO.

Ok, how about a show about a secret society called the Legacy who gather artifacts to fight evil and we call it "Poltergeist the series?" LOL.

I really like the series - true the name was really just a corporate ploy, but I started watching it at the beginning so it was easy to get into the storyline. If you could get over the name of the show and watch it for what it was, it was pretty good and considering that mainstream TV didn't have much horror series back then it might have helped to pave the way. It did get dumb at the end. The male lead was also the male lead in Jason Goes to Hell.

They will be releasing in on DVD soon

Wasn't the tv series actually based on 2 movies that came out?
I've seen them at the videoshop, and they have the same characters in both of em, ones calles "friday the 13th : the orphan"
and ones called Fridays curse or something...

I saw a horror show like that except it takes place in New York and there are all these vacant friends that screw each other. It was scary.

I remember a TV movie between the next to the last and last season. All I remembering happening is Ryan found his mother and got turned into a little kid at the end. Then that other guy took over as they resumed in jumping the shark.

I liked it.

It was called Friday The 13th as the Uncle who died in the pilot was called Uncle Vendredei. The video release in the UK had the same cover as some of the movies - I still have it. I think the original idea was to do a Halloween III type thing using the same name but taking it in a new direction.

I also liked the series. Can't wait for the DVD collection.

The wax people episode was the best.
