Hot Summer In The City

Anyone seen this? A Tarantino favorite apparently. I was thinking of picking it up but I'm not really sure. I dug Thriller/They Call Her One Eye is it in a similar vein?

I've never checked out any "Roughies" before but this one has sparked my interest.

Never heard of it - just checked out the IMDB - sounds kinda like an exploitation version of the Patty Hearse story...

I see IMDB call it a 'roughie' but (I'm no expert) I thought that genre was more rough 60's porn - this looks more 70's Blaxploitation but its a fine line..

They Call me one I don't think is even close to that genre - more a straight up revenge flick with porn thrown in...

I want to see more of these too..I want to see the Findlay Flesh trilogy..

Yeh it seems to be used to cover the 60s porn and nasty themed 70s XXX stuff.

Hot Summer In The City seems to divide a lot of people. A lot of people seemed totally offended/disgusted by it.

That DVD looks decent by the way, keen to hear if its worth picking up.

It does indeed - i think i like the tamer camper 60s ones. Not mad about hardcore to be honest (though I do like Caligula and They Call her one eye)
