I think we've talked about this before at different points on the board, but independent study is an integral part of adult life, IMHO.

I never went to college (didn't see the point) but I've regularly studied on my own or with peers since I graduated high school. I love history, art & science of all kinds.

I just took a nice headfirst dive back into the world of physics and quantum mechanics for a bit. My brain feels like pudding.

Do any of the rest of you study on your own? If so, what are your interests? What are you studying right now?

Pretty entry level. Animal handling, OHS, ethical treatment, breeding/genetics, nutrition, behaviour, medical terminology, environmental enrichment and the like.

Past studies led to being a doctor of veterinary medicine and a certified animal chiropractor. i am currently studying civilization and primal human nature.

Web design: including programming in C#, java, php and ajax. All the functions of MySQL. Flash 3D Studio Max, Photoshop and Dreamweaver. That and business writing, and math for computers (Binary, Hex etc.)

In my spare time I study how to be a good entrepreneur and a little photography here and there (the old stuff, not digital).

In school, I've studied chemistry, criminology, music, and audio/video production.

Outside, I've studied lots of things like calculus, film, world history, biology, and other stuff.
