What I mean by this is movies in a similiar boat as Braindead. I've always been the type to not watch a movie being that it is unrealistic. For the first time I watched Braindead and I was never so entertained by a movie. This film opened my eyes to try some films that are more out of this world. So what are some suggestions of some crazy ass movies (that are good of course) similiar to Braindead?

Re-Animator would be a good place to start.

Return Of The Living Dead and Blood Diner come to mind too.

Evil Aliens was a fun movie for sure.
Definitely gotta throw a vote out for Street Trash....

Also Terror Firmer and Poultreygeist are some recent movies out of Troma that have been pretty insane.

The Feast sequels seem to do different things for different people. Most like the first, seems like a lot hate the 2nd (which I don't get...I thought it was hilarious. Especially the baby scene), and the 3rd people seem to be 50/50 on (I personally despised the 3rd one). So, I guess watch all 3 to judge for yourself, but they definitely deserve to be up there.

Street Trash and Basket Case both rule. Brain Damage is essential viewing too.

Black Sheep is fucking lame. Its the visual equivalent of smearing shit all over your TV screen.

Yes! Brain Damage is a blast! Sooo funny.

Aylmer is great.

I'll recommend Microwave Massacre (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085937/), Troll 2 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105643/), and if you can ever track down a copy, Ratboy (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091827/).

This will get flamed to oblivion, but I actually like the crappy SciFi original movies. They suck--oh yes, they suck royally--but the ones that acknowledge that they suck can be fairly entertaining, on a fart joke, nubile women in peril level. If I paid anything to see them, it would be too much, but since they're on basic cable, I don't mind kickin' back with a beer and killing some brain cells with them.

Trailor Park of Terror was rediculous, I kinda liked it too.

Haha, one of our esteemed HDC crew actually has written a couple of those.

Trashy shit just has a lot more escapism doesn't it? Flicks you don't have to take too seriously are more of a relaxing watch.

That one had Summer Glau in it, didn't it?

That'll raise any F movie to at least a B.
