Has anyone else been getting sick a lot? I usually never get sick with anything more than a cold, but recently I got a.... bad cold. Which is still here, pissing me off. More importantly, I fear I may now have pink eye, which couldn't possssssibly have anything to do with the fact that I ran across a covered pool full of water from last August barefoot and splashed all over me at 9 pm. Ugh.

When you wake up one morning, and one of your eyes is completely glued shut with eye crusties, then you can be pertty sure it's pinkeye. I thought I had gone blind in one eye for a brief moment when it happened to me. I had to soak my eye with a hot wet towel for 5 minutes till I could get it open again.

I am constantly sick but I stress myself out to the point where I have no immune system and my mom works as a nurse. The weather is aweful though. You think you're cold. It's usually -15 here.
Today, however, there are birds, blue skies and grass. So I am happy.

Yes, in Wi. the snow has been melting, revealing a whole winters worth of dog shit in front yard. So gross.

I rarely get sick unless people are idiots at the office (I.e. if you are sick, FUCKING STAY HOME!)
Sounds a little obsessive compulsive, but you'd be surprised how little you get sick by simply washing your hands after you go to the bathroom (which hopefully everyone does here, haha), but then use a fresh paper towel to open the bathroom door when you exit.
You'd be surprised how many people don't wash their hands and people do all their most disgusting things in the bathroom. Pissing, shitting, obviously....but also hacking and sneezing into their hands and then doing nothing about it.
Bathroom door handles should be avoided like the plague.

Yeah, that's how I woke up today. I've only had pink eye once before, so I don't remember much. Should I go to the doc or does it clear on its own?

Definatley go see the Doctor. Even with antibiotics it'll take about a week to clear up. However the antibiotics will help stop it from being contagious.

NZ is suffering from global warming.
We are in the middle of summer but we have had nothing but 'hot muggy rain'.
Last Friday , while walking to work..it was nice and sunny..but by the time I got 10 minutes down the road..it just pissed down..so bad..i couldn't see in front of me...fuck..i looked like a drowned rat..Literally...
no warning..no small drops ..NOPES..was like somebody up in the sky had just pulled the plug out of their swimming pool.
i got no problem with winter per se - but i am getting very tired of shoveling snow. it is such a thankless task since the second you are done the flakes start falling again - ugghh
This winter just doesn't want to leave.......getting hit with another 8 inches or so now.:mad:

i havent heard that for us ... just a couple of cold days - and eventually the temperature getting over 0 by thursday.
this has been a particularity brutal winter. i'm buting a snowblower for next year - no 2 god damn ways about it

I don't get more than a cold most of the time, but not this year. I was real sick a month ago and I just got out of the hospital 2 days ago. I am so done with winter!!!

I haven't been getting sick, but I am sick of winter. We actually got snow this year... and like a lot of it. :mad:
