hahaha you're awesome V.

a few of those might actually get atleast a review from a panel of judges. (maybe one or two, disturbed possibly. I don't like them, but I don't hate them)

Who wants to be a judge? I need help making sure only real bands get in this one.

note: LED ZEPPELIN WILL NOT BE IN THE TOURNAMENT REGARDLESS OF WHAT ANYONE THINKS

I can be a judge, I didn't see much point in listing any bands that no one on hear would have heard of, and I still don't so I won't. Except for 1.

Reason?

As a Judge, you cannot be biased on your own personal opinions alone, but discuss it with the rest of the Judges in the panel.

Soon as there are more judges I will confer, but obviously a judge is going to give some personal opinion. But if you must know, they are blatant rubbish rip off of a great sub genre of punk, which many more bands are more worthy of being in the tournament.

For one...

Frenzal Rhomb!

I really hate ska, but I blame my old roommate who was obsessed with bad ska bands . I'll trust you that goldfinger is a good band, because you have good taste.

but... because of the bad taste ska music left in my mouth, I'm limiting the ska in the tournament to FIVE bands. Luckily there are 5 ska bands that I enjoy quite a bit.

Bad Manners
The English Beat
The Selecter
The Specials
Madness

Goldfinger will have to win in a qualifying round against The Selecter.

Just a few quick noms, I could list good bands all day though.

Jesus Lizard
Sublime
Bob Marley and The Wailers

Oh, and you know what _V_... I like Korn, Especially their older stuff but the unplugged show they did on MTV was awesome and Jon can play the bagpipes better than any other metal guy I know.

Sublime wasn't just a ska band and you would only think that if you've heard a couple of their songs. Unlike regular "ska" bands Sublime fused hip hop, reggae, punk, and rock and has an extremely diverse catalog of songs. From their acoustic album to their dub style instrumentals, Sublime's a completely different ballgame.

But they do involve ska.

So fucking what? Elvis involved country but I wouldn't call him a country musician. Yes, Sublime may have started out doing more ska than other things I was just pointing out that they had a lot more depth. I don't care if they're just in the qualifier or not in the tournament at all, you can argue with me all you want, which is all you seem to do. I hope you're raped, killed, and disposed of in a back alley dumpster... preferably one with Sublime graffiti on it. :)

Ha! Fair enough.

I personally think of them more like a ska influenced punk band than a full on ska band (like the Bosstones or something). That's cool though, in or out. Either way, I don't really care. It's your tourney. ;)
