Are YOU the next GREAT HORROR FILMMAKER?

Submit Your Project and find out!

Terror Film Festival is a bad-azz, blood chilling, alien probing international film festival, founded for the purpose of offering Filmmakers, Screenwriters and Fans more. TFF is like no other film festival in the world because it's designed to help promote YOU, the creative artist. The festival runs every October in Philadelphia and we offer cash prizes, a world-class Screenwriting Competition, and the coveted Claw Awards. Prizes, exposure, awards, fun, and some of the best parties on the planet. And it's all presented by the diva fashionista herself, Princess Horror!

And every SELECTED project receives Two Bad-Azz VIP Passes to attend the festival (a $200 value). Plus, we’re the only festival in the world who places your photo, poster, website link, and synopsis on our website JUST FOR SUBMITTING A PROJECT. TFF pioneered the concept in 2006 and we’re proud to continue to offer it to our creative artists.

Terror Film Festival is dedicated to the art of genre, the filmmakers and screenwriters who make great genre movies, and the fans who love them. For our FILMMAKERS, we offer awards and prizes, and we strive to get you recognized as a filmmaker and for your film to be celebrated and distributed. And it doesn’t matter if your film’s already been screened somewhere else or what year it was made. For our SCREENWRITERS, we offer awards and prizes for the sake of great writing to help support your writing talent and career. And for the FANS, we have only one mission…to thrill the living daylights out of you!!

TFF is all about horror, fantasy, sci-fi, thriller, drama and screenplay. Our call for entries for this worldwide film festival is focused on getting as many filmmakers and screenwriters involved with the festival as possible to help promote them and their careers. And as one of the premiere horror film festivals celebrating independent film, TFF is a Halloween event that brings the best films to the audience. That's what we think being a horror film festival is all about.

Mark your calendars, tell your friends, submit your project, and get your tickets early (ticket discounts when ordered in-advance through our website), because Terror Film Festival is an experience you will never forget!

Thanks!

from your website:

"Terror Film Festival was founded by a group of passionate young artists whose films and scripts were rejected by every film festival in the world. And after several years of being thoroughly brow beaten by the critics and their peers, these young upstarts realized that it wasn’t their work that sucked, it was the rest of the world who couldn’t see their self-described genius that sucked! "

Sure, that's cute, but does anyone involved with this festival have any professional experience? Stating that you weren't good enough for these festivals may sound cool to you, but it reads like you haven't a clue what you're doing. I'm not saying you are clueless, it simply reads that way. You might want to change your presentation a bit.

There are tons of high-quality horror/fantasy/scifi film festivals out there... many of which are judged by industry professionals.

The bios of the people running your festival are all snarky, silly, fun little blurbs, but they seem to be deviod of any actual credits. No one gives a real name, or even a name of any of the awards your "award winning" and "multi-award winning" festival directors have recieved, so there is no way of checking anyone's credentials.

I am a professional filmmaker who got his first contacts from horror screenplay competitions and people are always asking me to recommend good competitions to enter. The checklist I give them is...

-Do the prizes come with industry contacts (eg. Producers, Agents or Managers from reputable companies that you've heard of and have produced credits)?
-Have you heard of any of the judges/festival staff?
-Are the entry fees resonable?

Your fees and prizes seem to be reasonable and your heart is clearly in the right place but who runs your Writers Boot Camp Basic Training Course ? Someone who has sold screenplays in the past? Someone with professional credits?

I am in no way trying to badmouth your festival. Anyone who loves horror is cool in my book. But the way you present yourself is a little less than professional - and in the entertainment industry, perception is everything.

Best of luck with your festival.
