Hey there folks. Not sure if I know anyone here but I'll intro myself anyway.
My name's J. Michael Lewis, just call me "J" if you don't use my online handle. I'm out of Columbus Ohio, originally from PA. I moved locations about 10 years ago. About 5 years ago I got into making movies. Making movies is a passion of mine. I have a very deep affection for movies and have always surrounded myself with them since I was a kid. My home is filled with movie posters, movie toys, DVDs & VHS tapes (though not as many as I'd like).
I decided to take that passion and my creative side that I fed into other arts all my life and combine the two. So far it's worked out pretty well. I work with a partner [Jerod Brennen] and together we make up Tempered Zealot Productions.
All of our movies that have been finished are online and available at our website [www.temperedzealot.com] in the films section. We are currently working on ATW 3, which is the other post I made in the Indie Filmmaking section of the boards here. Jerod also has a feature he's been working on called "Dream Thirteen" which is being put together at 12 short segments shot by 12 different directors and will be combined to tell one story.
Personally I do this stuff while working freelance photography, graphics, websites, and just about anything else I can make money at. In the meantime I stay home taking care of my daughter while doing my work and the wife is away working during the day.
I'm a huge fan of horror, though with my swiss cheese brain I'm not one of those fans who knows all there is to know about every single movie ever made in the genre. But I truly love the macabre and tend to embrace that in my life. If I could live in the Adam's Family home or the Munsters' home I totally would.
I'm here to promote my stuff obviously but I also want to expand my networking base with other filmmakers and fans. I'd also like to get the info you guys share here on the boards. I totally get a kick out of you all having a thread dedicated to those who pass away. Seems like this message board keeps you informed about a great many things which is awesome!
Anyway, if you'd like drop me a line or something at my myspace or facebook (you can find the link to facebook at my myspace - www.myspace.com/twindragen)
I can't promise I'll be here daily but I'll be around.
Thanks!
- J.
