just wanting to know what you thought of hell raiser. i really liked it, it is really good and cunning. i liked the first one at the end or the second one ( im a bit confused.) where the woman gets sucked into the matteress then if someone goes onto the matteress she takes there blood and tries to form her body back. it is awsome. :D :D

What's this "Hellraiser" you speak of?

What a weird thread. Hellraiser and Hellraiser II are two of my favourite movies.
The scene with the matteress is in the second one. But not in the end though.
Many people mistake these movies of being from the US when they are actually from the UK. Two of the best eurohorror movies ever! Love them! The third one is not very good however. And then it's a bit fuzzy I must admit. I have seven Hellraiser movies but I can't really remember which ones I like apart from the first and second one. Even if some of them are good, none is as good as the first and second.

To be fair the 1st film tryed to kinda pass itself off as American (the polic uniform - some of the accents etc)

If you're confused about the matress bit.... it's reanimation from decomposed parts of the cenobites victims. Fresh blood giving life.

Very true. And I guess it really doesn't matter. So who here think that the second one "Hellbound" is better than the first one? Only me?

I think the first qualifies as a classic. The premise was fresh, the storytelling was crisp; it was genuinely frightening. The first didn't concentrate as much on Pinhead and Co.; they were supporting players. The sequels became monster movies, while the original was more psychological.

One of the more original horror movies, at least the first one...

I loved the first one. As mentioned the cenobites weren't the focus BUT thats the main draw that's what people want to see. I agree with Daninsky I liked the second one better but the first is an amazing. Hell I even loved the third one but I stopped after that.
