View Full Version : Fave Bridges?

The bridge is like, a lil' bit fit into the song that's not quite like the rest of it, hm?
Can one be at the beginning of a song? Yknow...if you listen to "take me out" by franz ferdinand, it starts almost completely differently, a lesser case would be something like the Killers - All these things I've done, but that's more like a warm-in type deal right?
But, do you consider this a bridge?
There's good ones, and bad ones.
Missy Elliot pisses me off with the amount of 'em she throws around...beyond novelty...that "phone call" one in that emo groups "miss me when I'm gone" song shits me...although that's a pretty terrible song in the first place.
I think my personal favourite would be Genesis - Land of Confusion, which is all the way through an awesome song, but how seemlessly they manage to incorporate this bridge then back again, is great.
My other, almost equal would be the techno bit in Rammsteins Engel.
So...got some?

I'm not good at identifying things like this in music, but i'm sure I have a few favorites.

JUST thought of one. The very beginning of 'Trompe Le Monde' by Pixies.
Probably my favorite that comes to mind at that.

No offense but thats like the silliest forum question I think I ever seen...lmfao
Would be like me coming in here asking what's your favorite 3/4 time song? or What musical scale is the best for metal? Just most average people ( non musicians) are not gonna know the difference tween a verse, a interlude, an intro/outro etc... feel me?

So maybe he wasn't talking to those people? Or you for that matter?

"I'm the noob with the gun!"
...and I think that's the most god-aweful stupid, dickheaded intro I've ever seen someone make...wasn't going to say anything but so far, but since we're commenting, seems like your personality fits.
Commenting on threads with nothing other than to bitch about them in mind will soon piss off someone that'll bother with you more'n I will.
Have a nice day.

More importantly, Trompe Le Monde has a great bridge.

I know Pixies...but can't say I've heard that in particular, I'll follow the link just as soon as I'm not downloading 100 other things at the time ;)
Ha, I just thought of another...Tom Jones, "think I better dance now!"

Pretty much everything Neurosis do is kicking my ass in this respect.
