For something light and subtle, I recommend Nightmare Castle. Sexy and dignified. The Night Evelyn Came from the Grave has some sexy whipping sequences and solid violence in spite of a convoluted plot. Argento's Tenebre has a strong erotic subcurrent. For the more deviant and adventurous, the works of David Cronenberg are gooey, violent and have strong BDSM elements. The same (save gooeyness) could be said of the aggressively sensual Blue Velvet. If you're a creature of deeply aggressive kink seeking something artsy, life affirming, cathartic and full of transgressive sexuality, Buttgereit's Nekromantik might be for you. Though heady, I think these movies are some of the finest combinations of violence and sensuality on film. The man's given us a worthwhile question. Let's be grownups and open up this dialogue to more suggestions.

Thanks.
I didnt want it to sound like I was some sicko looking for porn.

Erotic horror/torture movies spin our wheels so to speak

However trying to search the subject really always ultimatly leads to porn which is not what were after.
Hence me joining the forum.

Forgot Candyman. Bloodspattered Bride's also good when it comes to sexually charged violent arthouse movies.

Definitely agree about Blue Velvet. Talk about arty degradation.

I'm suprised you didn't mention one of your favorites, Kyôfu joshikôkô: bôkô rinchi kyôshitsu (Terrifying Girls' High School: Lynch Law Classroom) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0451788/). Not gonna lie - Amidst the initial discomfort of torture, humiliation, and degradation, I found myself, well, you know...

For erotic torture horror, you HAVE to go Asian. Check out Tôkyô zankoku keisatsu (Tokyo Gore Police) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1183732/) for a modern homage to previous JA Schlock that has come before.

Videodrome
Shivers
Candyman
Hellraiser

DEFINITELY Videodrome (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086541/). The elements of errotic horror are quite explicit and overt.

In terms of Candyman and Hellraiser, they have elements of erotic horror, but it's not a main theme (which is DISAPPOINTING in Hellraiser, considering it's supposed to be part of the POINT). I think that Hellraiser could and SHOULD have had more torture eroticism in it.

Thanks! I forgot about that one. It crosses a lot of lines sexually and ethically, but yes, it gets pretty hot. I don't think Americans can tread those lines as well as the Japanese, who have a tradition of twisted eroticism, dating back from the over-the-top sexuality of some of their printmaking. This is a culture that considers bondage an artform.

I second what Doc said about Cronenberg. Specifically about Crash. One of the sexiest movies I've ever seen. There aren't really any torture scenes but it's just twisted enough.

Great suggestion, Chrono.

Actually, try any of the "pinky violence (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_film)" films:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/richpub/syltguides/fullview/R2OPZC46GBBZVR

Also try the films of Jess Franco (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jess_Franco) and Jean Rollin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Rollin), both of whom worked for a while in the "lesbian vampire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lesbian_vampire)" genre, among other things.

Pete Walker's House of Whipcord (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071628/)(1974)

Oh, and Nikutai no mon (Gate of Flesh) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058409/) (1964) might be something you're looking for.

As much as I LOVES seeing boys tortured, I didn't find Hostel all that erotic.

Peeping Tom.

Countess Dracula

As fortunato mentioned- Jean Rollin's vampire films.

Vampire's Kiss

Almost any version of Jeckyll & Hyde.

to name a few....

Hmmm. How about THE GIRL NEXT DOOR? Haven't seen it yet myself but the Rue Morgue article made it sound like it might be in the ball park.

Too much grit. There's no real eroticism to it.

Now I'm not too sure about actually being erotic, but my thoughts were Murder Set Pieces. Also "Dværgen" (Yay, we danes made it!). I think it's called The Sinful Dwarf internationally. At least that says "Sexgyser" on the cover meaning sexual horror movie or something.

There's no better combination in my opinion. Try "Vampyres los lesbos" aka Vampyres.
