Problems w/ my avatar... Help!!!

Okay, so I'm trying to upload my own avatar... and I'm having a bunch of problems...

it says it has to be 150x150 pxls or 2.4 kb (whichever is smaller) okay got it... well, I shrink my image down to 150 pxls and it's still like 7.5 kb.... so then I go the other route.. I shrink it down to 2.4 kb, which ends up to be... and get this... 14x14 pxls.... WTF!?!?

I see everyone elses avatar nice n big... mine is teeny... you can barely see it! I look at the properties on other peoples avatars and they say like 2.12 kbs @ 111x120 pxls....

I don't get it... Can someone please help me?? I'm getting SO SO SO frustrated I'm about to toss my computer right out the fuckin' window!
