If you like bands like GWAR, you should check out The Berzerker - they're GWAR on steroids... But yeah, I think they're ok for what they are - a joke band.
Come on... can you take anyone who dresses like that on stage seriously?

Berzerker was okay in Clerks, but they went way downhill after that.
I'm not touching the Gwar thing anymore

Sam,
Different people I think... The Berzerker are an Australian techno-based grindcore band who play some of the heaviest music around... I listened to that 'Berzerker' track from Clerks, and it was pretty good, but I think it's a different band.

I can't stand Gwar.
And The Berzerker needs to lay off the synthesizers.

Sorry for not being able to tell sarcasm... And sometimes they need to lay off the synthesizers, but how else would they create such a brutal sound?

I dunno. It seems that a lot of bands try to sound "brutal" or "hardcore" more than they try to sound "good". FIRST you get the quality, then you go for whatever your band is gonna be

I know the exact feeling - although the reason why I tried to get Kerbstomper (http://www.mp3.com.au/kerbstomper) to sound so heavy over sounding good was that was the whole point of the tracks.
As a result, most people will hate the sound, but I'm OK with that. Hell, I hate some of my own tracks.
