i hope it's not like the second blair witch because i dont know about you but i found it a bit bland compared to the first. it would be good to add a little more depth to the whole ledgend though

Both movies suck. I'm sure the third will be just as bad, if not worse.

Loved the first one. Second was a bit far-fetched (I say that as though the first one was completely true). Third one could be cool, depending on the director and such.

Oh yeah, and your avatar got the Darkwing Duck theme stuck in my head the other day. Why don't you go by Nega-Duck?

Does anyone on this site like horror movies? I say this because in almost every thread that discusses a new movie coming out there is a slew of people bashing it immediately.

The blair witch was okay. I thought it was pretty stupid actually. The blair witch 2 was alright as well. I think a prequel is a good idea I would definately check it out. The first one talks about other people's perspective on the blair witch and the second talks about the blair witch from her own point of view. But its very general so I think a prequel is good idea to tie up some loose ends.

Sorry, not much of a news flash about them being fake. That has been common knowledge since about 2 weeks after the movie came out.

Yeah, but people's taste differs. I don't like Blair Witch 1, I have yet to see part 2, I have no interest in seeing it either. In fact, I don't really care if there is a prequel or not. It'd probably suck anyhow, if it's anything like the first.

Although I didn't really care for the first one, it was a very original concept. That is why any sequel or prequel is going to fall short of goal, because you are just copying an original concept, and badly at that.

a its rubbish
b it was not an original concept having ripped off jersey devil etc
Its not a horror movie its a home video!
Oh look its me and my pals in the woods and there's nothing there!
Oh its the wood, so its dark!
Oh look some one has moved some sticks around!(scary)
Oh the audience is being sick because where spinning the cheap video cameras around so much its inducing motion sickness when viewed on a cinema screen!
as for a prequel, whats it gonna be them packing there camping equipment filmed on a mobile phone camera?
But respect to them for a great advertising campain and making millions out of somthing that would'nt even get $100 on one of those home video shows!

I liked the first alot, It was really original, and I liked how little they showed, [made it creepier.] Haven't seen the second because I think the whole idea could only work once. And reviews were really negative. Before it came out, they really set it up to seem true. It was weird how even sfter it came out, alot of people thought it was real. I had a hard time convincing some people that it wasn't.
About the prequel........ well I don't know, depends what they do. Somehow it doesn't look promising!

I loved the first one, and in IMO it's one of the scariest horror movies ever. The second one had a cool concept to it but it wasn't that good. I'm not big on prequels either.

I have only seen the first one....it was...dull..i mean for a movie thats sposed to be 'spiffing' it was dull, no gore or anything, and no real....amazingness...but it was still cool
as for 2nd or 3rd.....well well see...

I thought that the fact that you DIDN'T see anything made it more scary. SO many movies are ruined when they show to much.
I also was really spooked at the end, it really sparked my imagination. Part of the reason that there aren't too many really scary movies anymore is because of the over kill of effects.

I agree with you 100%. The fact that we watched it 1st person, and that even though all that crazy shit was happening we never really saw it happen, made it a lot more scarier IMO. Plus...if that happened to me in real life that'd be crazy.

Know exactly what you mean.
I have an isolation phobia on top of it, and am a city girl. Being lost in the woods would freak me out bigtime, not to mention having all that crazy shit happening!

They were both ok for passin a few hours away on a sunday after noon, An i'll probably go see the prequel even though the star wars prequel almost put me off them for ever. Maybe we would have saw more of the blair witch if tha tself centred bitch ever took the camera off her face, ffs it had a bright light on it why didn't she shine it out into the darkness when she heard a noise? pft typical woman hears a nosie out in the darkness and shines the only light into her face then complains about not being able to see anything. an as far as it making people sick from motion sickness, i thought the only ones who it made sick was those idiots who went and brought a home movie camera to make a home movie, they must have kickig them selfs for not thinking of that idea LOL LOL

Can't help it, I still liked it. Maybe it even had to do with how they promoted it to start with, as if is was true. I also liked the idea of The Blair witch. I agree there were boring parts though, and the screaming thing was a bit much. I also wanted the witch to eat that Heather. I hated her immensely!
Oh well, I won't die defending it.... just one of those things.
