simply because they were my alltime faves as a kid, and nothing comes comparably close, these days, to the shock I got from them as a young kid.

Those had the lasting creep effect. not to say they are the best ever.....but made me think for a while.....
The Fog, Halloween, and Nightmare on Elm street might slip in there too.......only 2 though!

1st: Night of the Living Dead (original) -- I just bought the Millennium Edition!
2nd: The Shining (Kubrick version)
Good god that second one took a LOT out of me! I was really really torn. The only reason I didn't put TCM (original) because so many others did.
