I think all you small mainstream people should pay tibute to a man that deserves more respect than is given....Llyod Kauffman. You should see Toxic Avenger, Rabid Grannies, and all that Troma goodness and if you don't think so tell me because you will be wrong!!!

I don't think I've ever said "fuck off" to anybody. And you're getting awfully hostile over someone partially disagreeing with you.

god of horror that's some funny shit andre. i might've actually went along with you ranting about kauffman and checked out a few of his movies if you would've just left it at indie but god of horror i don't think so.
now that's just my opinion that kauffman isn't the god of horror but i'm pretty damn sure alot more people agree.
i'm not going to say anybody else is the king of horror or make a comparison between kauffman and anybody because you'll say he's not then i'll say he is and it'll never stop so what's the point but the one thing i am saying is that kauffman is nobody to be bowing down to or to be considered the god of horror.

not just god of horror.... god of everything.
the man is single handedly responsible for the state of filmmaking today.
Kevin Smith, Peter Jackson, Quentin Tarantino all have stated that Lloyd and Troma has directly influenced them and their filmmaking techniques.
Plus the man helps out still today, making appearances and teaching filmmaking classes all over the world.
recently he was in Toronto and gave a brilliant performance ON THE SPOT for my own damn movie, CRACKULA (http://www.grimbrothers.com/crackula)

kevin smith, peter jackson and quentin tarantino are just like all the other good directors in hollywood they were influenced by someone that does'nt make him god of everything because he influenced a few directors and teaches classes. people have been influenced by steven speilberg, people have been influenced by alfred hitchcock and there's alot of other directors that have influenced people but that does'nt make them god.

God didn't PERSONALLY write the bible... he had someone ghost write it.
Thats why its not really grounded in reality and a little farfetched at times. The guy who wrote it also wrote a few of the early Dr. Who novels.
Do you really think Jesus could really spin straw into gold and part the atlantic ocean?
