hannibal was ok.

i DEFINITELY liked red dragon better than silence. i love edward norton, and i loved the character of the red dragon guy. very sad story.

Silence, this would have made a good poll.

Not that it scared the shit out of me, it was just far better than the other two. Red Dragon was alright, but Hannibal just sucked horribly.

But it's Hopkins in any case, and you can't go wrong with him.

Yes silence above all the others, but i really do like red dragon. My only problem with it is the lack of continuality via hopkins age in the prequel:( but really that cant be helped and it doesnt bother me that much. Plus red dragon has Danny Elfman for music and you really cant get much better than that can you?

Silence is the peak of the series tho, definitely, and it really sucks that we couldnt get the original book ending to hannibal, the movie really suffers because of it, Its also why jodie foster wouldnt do it:(

i liked silence the best. "it puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again," is currently my msn messenger name (but i change it every 3 seconds for some reason.

am i the only person here who like hannibal. i thought that it was cool. the ending wasn't as cool as it could have been, but the movie was still pretty cool i think. i thought that it was better than manhunter.

No your not the only one. I like it alot. Just not as much as the other 2. It does have alot of cool parts, and gary oldman who kicks ass in every role. Plus Ridley Scott directed it soo thats not a bad thing at all. It just stands agains 2 other extremely well made movies.

Red Dragon (mostly because it had Ed Norton and Ralph Fienes in it...I love both of them)

then Silence. It scared me to death!

I liked Hannibal a lot and I thought the book was much better than the Red Dragon book but in terms of the movies:

Silence
Manhunter
Hannibal
Red Dragon

Silence. I love the dynamic between Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins.

Did anyone else besides myself read all of the books?

I read them all...And I'm pretty sure Arioch did, too...As for the movies...Sure, Silence Of The Lambs was incredible, an instant classic...But, I just don't think there was anything in Silence Of The Lambs that matched the brain-eating thing...I loved that:)

Red Dragon, Silence, Hannibal

I only say red dragon first because i love that movie. I actually think Silence is a better movie, but i like Dragon better. Must be the edward norton thing. After fight club, i cant help but love him.

Oh yes, and:

PUT THE FUCKING LOTION IN THE BASKET!

Agreed! I love the bit where that first drop of blood runs down - brilliant! I never understood why 90% of people say that Hannibal sucks 0- the book and the novel - I always think I was in an alternate universe!
