Does anyone like/listen to them?

A bunch of Marilyn Manson carbon-copies if you ask me.
Yet their sound is more original than anything else out there, but that doesn't make them any good.

I love their music, although I'm into music that combines 80's synth music with rock (ie. Deadsy,Orgy, some Cure) I listen to their music alot. They're nothign like Marylin Manson especialy since they're a lot harder than good ol' MM. And especially since Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison is their guitarist I find that band even harder to resist.

1.Their main influence is Manson, since they're all buddies with him.
2.Even though Manson too sucks, Murderdolls is not.."harder" than Mansons band.
3.Joey is good at drumming
4.Joeys sucks shit at guitar
5.Their singer sounds like Manson
Listen to real metal you pansy.

What do you consider real metal? And like I said I'm not too big on metal I prefer synth-rock. the only metal I listen to is a little Black Sabbath and Slayer and Fear Factory.

Well then I wouldn't blame you for knowing anything.
Fear Factory=no
Black Sabbath=Getting better
Slayer=pwn
Some instances of real metal=At The Gates, Cannibal Corpse, Exhumed, Vile, Arch Enemy, Opeth
and many more.

I heard Arch Enemy before, nice to see a female screamer in a band.

Yes, she is very talented, yet I find their older singer more on par than her. But she is very good, especially live.;)
Plus the Amott brothers are guitar gods.
EDIT
Arch Enemy officially owns this thread.

the thing I don't like about metal is how everything is something-core now. What was it wheels said his band was? Splattercore? WTF is that?

The only reason why people do that is so they can say they don't associate with other bands, and to say they're different from others, when in actuallity, they aren't.

Oh. So if I start a metal band, can we be Snuffcore?

Everything is something -core now because people don't like being labelled under the same genre as someone else. Splatter-core is the mix of metal and horror movie sound samples (I didn't invent it, so don't look at me).
As for the Murderdolls, they are one of the funniest parodies of gothic rock and 80's glam metal ever.

Oh yeah...
I think I said it was "Industrial Splatter-Core" just to seperate it from other splatter-core bands, hehehe.

I went to their site (which i like btw, playing the songs instantly is cool) but their image is tired and rehashed, and while they have good guitar their lyrics are fucking terrible and they cant write much for melodies either.
Ya and its also more than a little week that they had to cover "white wedding" as their first single. The covering 80's songs to get your band noticed is as tired as it gets. I wont be buying any albums:rolleyes:

The lyrics are meant to be terrible, I'm pretty sure.
The classic example is "Let's Fuck";
Let's fuck you fucking whore
Let's fuck you fucking whore
Let's fuck and fuck and fuck and fuck and fuck and fuck some more!
Let's fuck... etc etc
Anyone who takes them seriously has got to be kidding themselves, although I do agree on the 80's cover thing. Dope covered "You Spin Me Right Round" ... and two of Dope's members were in Murderdolls. So I think there's ridiculous unoriginality there.

Oh, and to add something Arioch: White Wedding is their third or fourth single. Dead In Hollywood was the first, Love At First Fright the second... and I'm sure they were going to bring out People Hate Me as a third but I can't seem to find proof of that.

'Lets Fuck' was the third single you putz.

Umm...
"Let's Fuck" was the b-side to the European release of "Dead In Hollywood". It's never been released as a single.

Please, don't make me get a picture. Sometimes I just don't like owning, and if I do owning tonight, I will not be happy.

Ahh i did not know that. But you have to admit thats the song their record company is gonna push because its their catchiest and everyone already knows it. I did think Love at first fright was a good catchy song that could have been just as popular. It would be hard for me to get into a band i cant really take seriously tho, thats just me.
But like i said, they do have some really good guitar, i even noticed a few harmonics i was surprised.

Evisceration, I want you to prove me wrong. 'Cause I hope they did release a song which set a new fucks-per-minute speed record as a single.
And Arioch, agreed... damn catchy 80's covers. There's way too many of them out there.

ok this is just my opinion and all
but i think any one who likes horror films as much as i should take a little time and listen to some good old butt rock with horror film type lyrics i mean this band has a love song for ragen from the Exorsist, if youve never heard of them try them out sometime
horror movie fans support other horror movie fans even if they make music.

Cute in a sort of "aren't those motha'fucka's darling?" sorta way. Sorta catchy. The play on the genre is entertaining.
Um, I hate Slipknot with a passion.
And Murderdolls is like the Spice Girls without vaginas, talent, or style. Hmm. But I like the Spice Girls.
Yeah. . .

I liked the whole "look, my dress is as short as my cooch!" and the big shoes and stuff. It's like Barbie on crack, and yes, they did have some talent. Okay voices, and their songs make me want to dance.
Glad you didn't dispute the vagina issue though, darling sir.

Unfortunately there are to many versions of metal nowadays. I find it really hard to talk about any "metal" just cause i wouldnt know what anybody else is talking about. Metal is Metal. Lets leave it at that.
Murderdolls are good yet their production is kinda weak.

Agreed. I'm all for diversity and doing your own thing with the music you love, but far too many subgenres here, just be metal and make it your way....

I think they are one of the most musically weak, blatently commercial bands ive ever seen.
