Weird post I guess but did anyone actually watch it all the way through to the end?
I think I gave up somewhere mid seventh season as it just got boring and they were getting so many plot holes, especially the whole Samantha thing.
I did catch a few later with Doggett who seemed better than Mulder, or at least a nice change.
Favourite epsiodes anyone? I always though the one with the mutant Cher fan was just too funny!
And this is my 600th post so I wanted to use it up before I logged out!!! :D

YAY sleepaway! 600, whooooo!
I lost interest towards the end also. I liked that they had a running plot throught the whole series, but when they got to the last episiode and STILL said "you will never know even part of the story", i was just like way to go dipshits.... It was like the final episode of Farscape. They roll the credits and you are left saying "I sat through all those seasons for THAT?!?! What the fuck......."
I liked having Robert Patrick on the show, but he will always be the t1000 to me, so i kept expecting him to melt.

I gave up watching Farscape as it just wasn't going anywhere but it started off really well. There just seemed like no ongoing goal or anything worth the continuous viewing.
I actually forget Rob Patrick was the T1000 now. He was good in Fire In The Sky. I wish that was on DVD.
I totally missed the final X-Files episode. I saw the one before though - the Brady Bunch one!!

Yeah I prefered it then too. The conspiracy stuff got boring. Much prefered the monster off the week type shows.

I loved the earlier episodes like Darkness Falls (not the fucking movie......) and the one with the Flatworm man. And Tooms.
BAck when the episodes focused on weird people and monsters. The conspiracy stuff was cool for the first few seasons, but eventually the "You know nothing. now you know everything. But that was a lie" bullshit got realllll old.
I also miss the older episodes, right after gillian anderson had her baby, when they decided to "market" the fact that she was a new mother and put her in low cut shirts.
Okay, i'm a perv, sue me. I actually started watching the show because i stayed home one friday, decided to try it out (it had been out 3 years and i hadntr seen one). it was the episode where a guy flew over from africa, and he was killing other black men by draining them of all of their melanin, leaving them white. Scully cralwed around through some vents with a low cut blouse and a flashlight. I became a regular watcher and still watch it on sci fi when i get a chance :)

I was a hardcore fan up through the end of season four. Season five I started to slip a little... missed a couple of episode here and there... but I kept up a pretty good pace until the end of season six. I pretty much stopped watching after that.

I missed all of the first 2 seasons until syndication... but I watched everything, every week from Season 3 Premiere to the show's final episode.

Me and my friends knew the episode titles of the first two seasons like the back of our hands but then they started having weird german titles that made no sense and you'd never know by the title what the hell the episode was. You'll never beat the earlier episodes they were just much rawer and creepier.

Oh c'mon...Dont tell me you got tired of 6 episodes in a row about finding mulder's sister, interspersed with bees and every episode having faceless government goons as the only bad guys and that gface changing alien that was played by the guy arnold put his fist through in the terminator.....

I watched a few episodes here and there, not a big fan of the X-Files. I prefer stuff like The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits.

Hate to admit that I watched it till the very bitter end. I agree with all of you on the best episodes, and got tired of the conspiracy theory that changed directions on every episode, and how they would bring up something on a show that you would never hear about again, like the episode when they found the spaceship in Africa with all of the writing on it. I guess it must have caused them to lose their memory. Also got sick of Scully never believing anything, even though she saw it all first hand.
I was a true fan though, and will rent it all one day when I feel nostalgic.
Loved The Cher ep. too!

Well, you might like the first few seasons if you can get them on DVD.
Or not.
Depends on what you like.
I have watched some of them. My mother lives for them. LOL
I am still trying to catch the episodes in which Terry O'Quinn appeared.

A generational question maybe???????

He's an actor. LOL
He played in The Stepfather 1 and 2. My username stands for StepFatherFan, in case you were wondering. He has been in a shitload of other movies as well, mostly in supporting roles. The Stepfather was one of his few leading roles. He also played the sheriff in Silver Bullet.

I've seen that movie, and have probably seen lots of other movies he has been in. I just can't picture him
This is going to bug me!

Ok, I know this actor, I've seen him on a lot of things.
Out of curiousity, what particularily do you like about him? I am a huge Albert Brooks fan. People ask me this all the time. I know he is a good actor, but there must be a reason you like him as much as you do.
Thanks for sending the picture, it would have bugged me for a while.

Hmmm why do I like him so much, acting abilities aside?
Well, after all, he's a man, and I'm a woman.;) LOL
There is just something about him. I really loved his character in The Stepfather.

Well I guess we all have have our own movie idols. I am Al Pacino's biggest fan! Or so I think. I liked him since my mom took me to the Godfather II at 8 yrs old. No one will ever be better to me.
Can't explain, just the way it is!

Smart....... should have left then too.
Hey, I think we are probably the same age, or a least close to. This is the first site that I have got to talk to some of my peer group. Love the kids, but there are so many old movies they don't know about and would have to look really hard to find.
Nice to meet you, and hope we can talk about some interesting stuff!
For the record, I am 38. Outch!!

For the record, I am 38. Outch!! Hmm...Pretty close...You are just a wee bit older than I am...I choose to believe that perhaps my "experience" tends to lend itself to the elevated perception of my age;) :)

You are right. Experience does do that.
I am also on another site where no one is over 20. Fun, but no one has seen alot of movies I'd like to talk about. There are a lot of great ones that I saw on TV in the seventies as a kid that they never replay, and are hard to find on tape.
Have a good Sunday!

Well, he's not my idol or anything like that. An idol is somebody you look up to and want to be like IMO.
I just think he is sexy, and I like him a lot.
For the record: I'm 28:D

Hi SFF!
I understand, got it now.
Wish I were still 28, 10 years older than that! I feel younger though because we have no kids and I relate to the pre teens I work with.
You seem very cool.
What else do you like other than horrors? Books, TV etc.?

Watched every episode for the first three seasons. Then it just got too bogged down with the conspiracy crap. Would catch an episode here and there, then after season five I stopped watching alltogether.

As far as books go, I'm rather fond of Astrology, and various Occult material.
I don't really watch very much TV anymore, but when I do, it's usually my favorite improvisational comedy show; "Whose Line Is It Anyway?".
Oh, and I feel younger BECAUSE of my kid, not in spite of him.;)

Same, don't watch much TV anymore.
A lot of my friends that have kids are just alot more conservative than me. But maybe I would be eccentric anyway no matter what! The kids at my day care help to keep me young. I always keep up with their styles and they think that is cool. Love them a lot! So I get all that there. I have 45 at my centre. Really great kids! Ages 6-12, and some bigger than me!
I like , no love Curb Your Enthusiasm, but it has been cancelled from the station I was watching it on. The only way I could see it is by purchasing an illegal satellite from the US. Not good. I also was getting into Six Feet Under, also cancelled, bastards! A lot of people were not impressed over here.
Have you watched any of Kingdom Hospital?

Uuuh NO. Steven King leaves a bad taste in my mouth. He is hugely overrated.

Love his books..... but his movies don't usually work, with some exceptions though. The show is pretty good, although would probably be better to read. There are just so few shows now with a scary theme that I'll watch anything at this point.
Respect your opinion anyway.

I think Clive Barker is the better horror writer. I have read books by both him and King, and Barker keeps my attention, whereas King just bores me to death. A good example of this is "Carrie." I LOVED the movie, and was eager to read the book. Needless to say, it fell very short of my expectations.

I absolutely LOVE Clive Barker movies! We see anything he puts out.
I liked Carrie too, and the book, but I must have read it at about 13 or so. My favorite Stephen King book is actually The Shining. Sometimes the movies can be better than the books. I like Dean Koontz movies better than his books, {don't know if I spelled his name right}.
Have you ever read Harlen Ellison? Someone gave me some books of his years ago and they were better than S.K. but I can't seem to find them any more.

The X-Files movie was just one long TV episode, basically
