I'm not sure how horrific this movie is though it is quite the dark movie. I saw it for the first time a few weeks back and thought I'd see what anyone else thought. I'd never heard of it until then even though it had some memorable names: Judd Nelson, Bill Pullmun. It was a weird movie but...actually good...at least in my opinion...Of course it left you with a 'what the hell?' sort of feeling when it ended...

I LOVE that movie! It's one of the only movies that does the 'happy ending' thing exactly the way I like it.

A man (Judd Nelson) pursues stand-up comedy encouraged by his fellow garbage man (Bill PAXTON). Though his friend, who accompanies him on accordion, continues to tell him how great he is, he actually stinks. When the "comedian" grows a third arm out of his back, the friend uses this twist to get him signed up with a sleazy talent agent (Wayne Newton), and it begins to look like his career is on the move, even though his girlfriend (Some chick) has left him.

I think the girlfriend was played by Lara Flynn Boyle. I bought it cheap on video a few years ago. Very twisted and weird. I liked Bill Paxton a lot in it. Especially his 3 ways with huge fat women while covered in greasy trash. He was gross and amusing.
Ewww!

Funniest thing is Bill PAXTON playing the accordian!! So bizarre and Bill can be so gormless when he wants to.

I enjoyed this one as well. Been a while since I saw it, but it's was just too damn twisted *not* to like. Sort of a "feel-good comedy if David Lynch directed feel-good comedies." heh
Directed by the guy who directed the KISS movie -- DETROIT ROCK CITY -- a few years back.
