I hated this movie. I started reading Anne Rice's vampire stuff and just gave up on it after sitting through Queen of the Damned. I know I shouldn't judge her books based on the movie, but you know.

the movie sucked ass, major ass... it's Nothing like the book and in my opinion it shouldn't even hold the same name.
The book is far better, Anne Rice's writing is wonderful and the entire theme just pulls you in. I loved this book, it's my favorite of the whole series.

i think the movie messed up the books name, couldnt they at least hire one decent actor? i mean comon! just look at interview with a vampire, that little 8 year old kid..SHE was a good actor, that movie was filledwith good actors. and on top of that they had the nerve to stick nu metal into a vampire movie?!
some one should get strangled.

Okay, I gotcha. Got to be careful with that word of mouth stuff though. It almost got my friend killed once. He told us The Beast Within was the greatest horror movie of all time. We were not thrilled after we watched it. He received the beating of his life.

No offense to anyone who liked The Beast Within.

I have to say my knowledge on the vampires themselves (Lestat, Louis, David, Armand, Daniel, Akasha, Claudia, Marius and so on) is pretty good. The film captured them with some apeal. Marius is not exactly like that however his interest in the arts is prime and Lestat became into the whole music scene expecially rock and his want for public attention will always be there. Akasha I have no clue what they tried do here. It wasn't even about her. But they mixed two books together the incredible The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damn.

As for the book.... The book is beautiful and well worth checking out. I also require check out her new books Blackwood Farms and Blood Canidate (sp?)

I watched the movie and i thought that it was desent, not the best, but i have seen worse.
After i watched the movie everyone was like the book was so much better, so I go out and buy it,
I wasted $10 on that book, I got to chapter 5 and fell asleep, It was so boring, never finished the book. After that book i tried reading some of Rices other books and they just didnt captivate me.
I will say two good things and one bad thing about the movie
good-Lestat was so fucking hot
bad-I could of done a better acting job and I suck at acting
good-the music rocked

Queen of the Damned as a movie sucked filthy donkey pizzles in my humble opinion as a book both it and Vampire Lestat were absolutely amazing but it has to rate as one of the worst movies i have ever paid to go see!!

Interview WTV, however was great, loved it, loved it, loved it!

Anne Rice is a fantastic writer - the Mayfair witches trilogy was incredible! Shame QOTD did her such an injustice!

I haven't read the book. But, I've seen the movie. I've heard from people who have read the book, that it is VERY different from the movie. But, that's fine. It doesn't keep me from liking The Queen of the Damned.

I wish they would make more movies from her books!
