Has there been any horror movies that have either been nominated or received any kind of holloywood awards ( not including the short lived horror awards from the 90's)???

They win awards for make up effects but generally nothing else.
It's the same with Sci-Fi, never wins anything in terms of Oscars or Emmys.
I am sure someone out there can give us preciecely who won what for which make up effect.

Yeah, but I wish they got adwards for other stuff too.
But atleast they win something!

I think the closest your gonna get is Anthony Hopkins's best actor win for Silence of the Lambs in 1991.
