I have sent Charles Manson a couple of letters but he does not respond. I was told that he gets so much mail that they dont know what to do with it and I doubt that he gets to read alot of it.

My fiance is a criminal justice/psychology major and she wants to start a correspondance with Edmund Kemper. She wants to know what make shim tick. He has an elevate dIQ, but is pretty fucked in the head. He killed his grenadfather when he was a kid, and eventually killed his mother and had sex with her headless corpse........wonderful guy....

Why would anyone want a nut job to have his/her home address? Those nuts could send a "friend" (other penpals that want to do things they did to others) to meet you and act out his (most killers are guys) fantasy on you. I don't see the appeal with this at all.
Odd...

be aware that everything that comes in and out of prisons are regulated
and thousands write to manson, have we heard of anyone killed by any of his minions? that would dfinitely be headline news
not to mention the fact that many of these do not have access to phones, morse code, carrier pigeons..
and if you really are worried about it. buy a p.o. box. those are cheap

fluff,
Many of those sickos escape from the most regulated prisons in America. If you think they couldn't get to you because they are in prison, think again. I won't lose any sleep over any of you writing them. I don't see the point unless you are a journalist to write a story on them. I doubt most of y'all would like people writing some sick bastard that killed your loved ones.

peopel have been writing to serial killers since the beginning
ramirez's trials were loaded with women, who obviously didnt mind being seen by such an animal
i am in training to be an officer, and in my classes are many prison guards
out of all the prisoners in the nation, how many do you think actually get out? theres a reason why you hear about it in the news every year or so... becuase it doesnt happen very often. and when it does, its NOT in maximum security. not to mention, murderers get to roam free in the prison. whereas serial killers are in 24/7 confinement
there are dozens of murders everyday where i live, San Diego, but since they are so common, are never on the news. in 19 year of my life ive only heard of 3 prison breaks.
...........
i rest my case
oh. and dont sit there thinking id ask him 'will you be my friend' 'how did you kill those people'. im not saying people DONT ask questions like that, but for my purposes its because of my interest in psychology. not to mention that i am training to be a police officer, it would be good for me to get inside the head of one of these

fluff,
Put down the beer bottle and take a breath. I never claimed you asked them out. I asked you what the point was. I'll be a lawyer come August and have dealt with many of these jackasses. By the way, I know many prison guards that would want to have you kicked off the force for talking to these jerkoffs. All I asked was why you feel the need to. I never told you not to.
And just for your information when you become an officer, many prisoners have escaped "maximum security" prisons.

well just as you've talked to several prison guards, so have i. we're in different parts of the country, not sure how you operate over there, but we keep our prisoners locked up
and fact is, you NEED to get into the heads of these people. how do you think they are caught? Lawyers, do not have a job until the cops do theres.
and dont assume im drinking. ive never had a drink in my life

The funniest thing I've ever read in regard to a lawyer is, "how do you think they are caught? Lawyers, do not have a job until the cops do theres."
Most lawyers in this country have NOTHING to do with criminal matters.
As for keeping them locked up, I'm from Florida. You know, the state that caught Bundy why your side of the country had their thumbs up their asses. I'm only in the shitty state of Alabama for a couple more months till I'm back in Florida. Of course, even as horrible a state that Alabama is, they still have a better judicial record than Cali. Cali is the WORST state in the union when it comes judicial work. As a "liberal" myself, I'm embarrassed with how pathetic the 11th Circuit's (Cali's circuit) decisions usually are.
Listen fluff, you seem like a nice person. You are getting too offended in this thread and becoming angry at me. I've never told you not to write sick bastards that get off on the attention, that is your choice. However, if you want to keep going at this rate, you won't last with me. Use spell check next time before you want to get into an intellectual battle regarding theories, practices, and the effectiveness of judicial systems on each coast; you'll lose.
Perhaps we'll just agree to disagree. You can get as much out of those sick fucks by reading about them that you ever could by writing them. Most of them get off by having strangers write them. I just think it is a disgrace to the families those sick asswipes killed/raped/tortured to have someone writing them. I'm sure you'd be pretty pissed if someone raped, tortured, and killed you, and then had people writing them for their own personal curiousity.
JMHO.

well i guess im beginning to understand why my instructors always refer to lawyers with.... well i wont go there
and go on and bring up my grammer and t yping. it really doesnt matter. fact is, since i cant as a cop, i keep my nails long. and i'm not going to sit here and try to get every word correct
and no, i'm not sitting here thinking of writing them 'out of curiosity' or 'because iam bored.' so what did you think of the women that wrote 'the serial killer letters.' like i said in one of the first posts, i want to write because i like to know all kinds of people. i want to get a better understanding of how people operate, how the mind works. ive talked to different religious types, people who have been victimized, and if not through letters, will end up talking to those doing the vicitmizing.
if you want to call them a sick fuck, thast fine. they are still peple. no i do not condone what they did, but they are still people. they were children once. which is why i want to know more about them.
im sure ther are some who want to have these letters and put them up in frames and show everyone their richard ramirez signature and drawing. not me.

Fluff,
Make all the lawyer jokes you want. Lawyers usually have to clean up the mess idiot detectives made by not ignoring basic laws set up to protect people's rights. Lawyers are the reason minorities, such as yourself, now are equal in the eyes of the law. NOTHING major in this land can change without the help of lawyers. The KKK was taken down by a Bama grad I met a couple months ago. A nice man. A lawyer that had to get around bullshit from racist cops in the South that protected the KKK and threatened to kill him. Instead of writing to people that killed others' loved ones in cold blood, perhaps you should read about people that affected this land in a positive way. Perhaps Martin Luther King Jr....
You're still missing the point. You're trying to "understand" them. Can you not figure that out from reading books on serial killers? Most serial killers are very intelligent and caught because they want the attention. By writing those types, you fulfill some of the motives behind them KILLING other people. I doubt most family members would give you many high marks for writing a sick fucker that killed their daughter. I doubt your mom or dad would be happy knowing others are writing someone that killed you out of their own sick pleasure to be a serial killer and find a place in the history of asshole serial killers.
But I'm done with this. You seem like a good person. I had no intention of turning this into an argument. If you get offended when others think it is messed up to write serial killers that likely get off on the fame, so be it. To each person, his or her own. Everyone has to live with their own conscience in life.

I got it fluff, and I replied. It is all cleared up. No biggie. Just rack it up to a good discussion of the pros and cons of non-journalist ever writing serial killers. :D
For what it is worth, serial killers do intrigue me and I read up on a lot of them when I have spare time. I just never write them and give them that personal recognition. Just two different perspectives on an issue. ;)

From your pictures you do have a nice ass and hair. Then again, I'm very biased when it comes to girls with an Asian appearance. My first love is Korean and any girl that looks like a hot Asian girl intrigues me, at least initially. :D lol

If I was to write someone in prison it would be to someone I believe to be innocent - such as the west memphis three.
