Granted, I only got a whopping $2.55 for it, but that is before any residuals produced by repeat viewings, so have a read:
The 13 Most Irrespsonsible Fast Foods Available Today (http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1273710/the_13_most_irresponsible_fast_foods.html?cat=51)
Let me know what you think. I am trying to be entertaining as well as informative, so it isnt just a jack-off article.
This isnt just pimpage, its a celabration. I have moved from "Ameture Writer" to "Paid Ameture Writer" :D

Congratulations on your quantum jump from amateur to professional status. :) I'm very happy for you and for any one who can make the transition. I tried decades ago but realized I didn't have it in me. That's okay though, forums are a good place to satisfy any need I might have to vent. Perhaps some horror is in the offing....?

Thank you :)
I actually have the writer-mill over at Cracked.com to thank. They are "brutally" honest, but that site has a very distinct flavor of comedy, and trying to pitch articles for them requires you to flex all of your writing muscles. Comedy really is the hardest genre, but it is an excellent exercise (and you bet your ass I am going to be spray painting it all over this site if i get published there)

Good work. Keep it up! And if you don't have one, buy a copy of the Writer's Market. For people who can write useful articles, it's a godsend.

Thank you everyone. :)
i hope to do many more on similarly interesting (and possibly more horrifying) subjects. I re-read it last night and sadly all it does is make me hungry (share it with your freinds :D)

Nicely done! Very informative while also quite amusing. Remember - all great writers started small. I think King got paid $25 for his first story. (I feel slightly better about KFC too - thanks.)

Nice article, I would have thrown Dairy Queen's "Flamethrower" on there though.

I will probably wind up doing a part 2 to this eventually. I wrot eit during my lunch one day and had to cram my research, so i missed about 2/3 of wikipedia's fast food restauraunt list. I will add that to the upcoming ones though, thank you :)

Great article, Vod. :)
I was surprised on how much Arby's is on that list. And that Hardee's Thickburger should just be illegal, or have a tax on it like cigarettes.

My challenge to you would be to show people what we can actually eat for lunch at fast food restaurants. It's such a part of the American lifestyle that learning to manage it right would be very helpful.

hey, Doc. I just wanted to let you know that i linked Murderland on my blog:
http://popcultureobservations.today.com/
if you have a more "official" amazon link to it, shoot the html over to me and I will post that instead.
I figured a little extra advertising was in order since you are so free with advice :)

I'm here for anybody who needs the help. It's a tough, thankless job and the light is pretty far at the end of the tunnel for writers, so everything and everyone I know I'll try and share.

Wow... Not to continually pimp the same thing, but this article has taken off... No on ehas really left any comments on it (except for my wife's friend who introduced me to AC saying congrats), but in the week and a half since it was posted, i have had 118 views.
to put it in perspective, my first two combined have only netted 78 views in almost a month.
Merry christmas to me. I feel cool. :)
My "clout" level has also gone up from this one article....
Hopefully i can capture the same success with the next one.
