View Full Version : Killers in your local area?

Not just your basic killers (I know that sounds bad, but I can't think of a better way to put it) but the really bad ones... who is the worst murderer you know of in your local area, and what did they do?

By far, the worst I know of is Katherine Knight. Aka "Hannibal Lady" although that name may not befitting of her since it was never proven that she ate any of her victim.

I'll try to give you the short of the story -

Katherine paid her ex a visit one night, and stabbed him repeatedly...

Then... skinned him and hung the skin from a door frame... but wait, there's more... she cut his head off, and sections of flesh, put them in a pot with vegetables, and cooked them up.
She plated two servings of the dead man and wrote on two pieces of paper the names of the man's children, then set them down as though the meal was to be eaten by them.

I know it sounds like something from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, right?
You can read the full story here if you're interested in details:

(It's a bit long but if you're into it that's no problem)

For about 10 years there was an infamous underworld war here in Melbourne (Australia.) Anyway, a very brutal execution took place in a club close to where I live.

Oh gosh. Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka were raping and murdering not even half an hour from where I live. At one point they lived a block from me. They bought the cement they used to incase body parts from a cement plant 2 minutes down the highway.

Unrelated: the man who lived across the street from me tried to shoot his upstairs neighbour one summer. The bullet skimmed the guys head, and he ran out of the house, across the street and into out backyerd where we were bbqing yelling "Ive been shot". My unlce was cutting down a tree in our yard so there were logs everywhere. So my mom called the police and we all went inside. Next thing I know the SWAT team is picking up logs and moving them to the front yard for a stand off. In the end the guy shot himself. It was pretty crazy.

One of Swedens very few serial killers, called Thomas Quick (actual name Sture Ragnar Bergwall) killed one of his first victims in my hometown. It was my friends mothers friend. In the early 1990's he went to the police and confessed a large number of unsolved murders all over Sweden. However he wasn't proven guilty of all of them, "only" eight. The strange thing was that he pleeded guilty to many murders that he didn't do. He could actually be proven NOT guilty to some of the murders he said he had commited. And in december of 2008 he pleeded NOT GUILTY to all the murders that he earlier had said he had commited. There are some that think he didn't actually commit any murders.

And not very long ago a guy in a town close to my hometown killed his ex. with a samuraj sword...

There's not much murders in Sweden and very, very few of them are brutal or weird. Mostly family arguments and so on. Very few serial killers of mass murderers.

I was liveing in Brunswick for a while after this kind of ended, not long after the guy was shot in a pub on Sydney road.. Then just after I moved out this wierdo who ran a second hand store I used to walk by near the supermarket was killed, garoted, a friend of mine was actually there when they found him, she was just after some second hand junk..

Even though the gang war is aparently over it still goes on.

Has anyone heard of the two boys who killed their father with a Baseball Bat 'coz a Pedo told them to do so? Yeah, happened in Pensacola.

And Ted Bundy was captured for good on Cervantes Street. :D

Oshkosh,Wi, where do I begin. I worked with a guy who drove forklift at a Union shop I once worked at. He gets hammered one night and kills his girlfriend who lives in the apartments my Mother-in-law works at. He slit her throat, set her head on fire, and then threw her in the tub before cutting off her arms and legs and gutting her like a deer. I've heard he also jacked off on her corpse but that part is just speculation. Then he drives 45 mins. to a near by town bar and orders a beer. He told the bartender what he had just done, covered in blood, and orders a beer. The bartender served him his beer before calling the police. When the cops came he gave himself up peacefully. We called him Rocky, he was a funny guy, he always had a joke. My friend who got me the job there grew up with the guy. My mother-in-law helped clean up the apartment after the police were done.

This town is crazy.

Hm...in the outskirts of my city there are shantytowns where the poor people live. In these places there are drug dealers in charge, they are a sort of "kings" of such places and frequent enough, they order the murder of some people. I've been told that you don't get robbed there, because if you are, you can talk to the drug dealers from that place and they WILL find who did that and burn them alive. Besides, they kill people who own they money and there are shootings betwen them and police officers, where many innocent people die too...pretty sad...

not as bizarre as the case milktoaste mentioned, but if there's something that is not lacking in my city is killers :-S

why do illiterate new members flock to the true crime section?

Because on internet I can be the next great American novelist, yet to be discovered. Please! Somebody notice me!! I'm special and unique and full of great ideas!

Now that that's out of the way, last summer a truck driver had a heart attack while hauling a trailor full of cows. I'm talking over 20 cows. The truck and trailor flips over and spews cows all over Highway 41. Cows are incredibaly tuff, and few were injured, but all became either deathly afraid or super pissed off. Like a disorganized stampede, cows began running around and slamming into cars on the freeway. And they would not stop! Eventualy the majority of the cows had to be 'put down' by law enforcement. Noone was killed, and it wasn't really a crime, oh well. It still made for some awesome front page news.

America's first serial killers, the Harpe brothers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harpe_brothers), ran around my neck of the woods. I always thought they'd be a good subject for a movie.

By calling other members illiterate, are you trying to say that you are? You should capitalize at the beginning of your sentence for starters.

:D

ok ok, back on track, wait...should I have capitalized there?

Three kids on snowmobiles(2 were later found out to be stolen) in Wausau, Wi, ran down 5 deer in a brutal attack. Apparently one would circle the deer and make them run back towards the others. One guy did a burn out on a deer, another was left with broken legs and later had to be euthanized. One deer was dragged a ways away and tied to a tree where it strangled itself to death. Fortunatly, none of them were big bucks.

They traced the group back to one of our most disfunctional towns, Weyauwega(ryhmes with 'why are we gay') where a wonderful bounty of idiots are found. Here's a link:

This is when atheists are envious of religious people, and their belief that people capable of that kind of cruelty really will burn for eternity.

It makes me envious of the days when punishments like 'breaking on the wheel' and 'burned at the steak' existed.
