OMG. i just got back from getting my last text book, and its not raining but its really misty. So the roads are kinda slick. In addition to this i have NO traction AT ALL on my back tires anymore.

So i coming down this turn im going like 30 or so and it straitens out so i give it some gas, well the back of the car slides out towards oncoming traffic. I let off the gas and turn to correct, i overcorrected and start spinning towards the curb on my right. (at this point its soooo sureal i just couldnt believe what was happening)

Then i turn and overcorrect even worse because i didnt want to hit that curb and fuck up my axle. So im still flyin pretty good, but cant catch traction so i turn in and i shit you not guys, i slide had to be 30-40 yards COMPLETELY SIDEWAYS IN THE CENTER OF BOTH LANES (where the median would be). then it catches traction at the last second and spins me one more 180 so im facing the right direction in the opposite lane i started in.

Luckily there were no other cars, and i didnt hit either of the curbs at all. I got out and checked the car and there wasnt a scratch on her. But there were some guys mowing lawns and lanscaping the companies on that road who saw it all. When i was driving away, i looked at them and they were all starin at me with this look:eek:   man, it was so insane. Im still shaking uncontrolably.

That is the bad thing about Camaro's Arioch, I know what you mean. I have had Two Firebirds and a Camaro, and I can't tell you how many Times I spun them around in the rain, and not even trying to either, it's just a helpless feeling when that happens cause there's not much you can do but hold on for the ride. It's because the rear end of those types of cars are so light it's unreal.

Ya your fucking right about that kpropain. to compound the problem i have NO traction left and 4.10 rear gears so it spins through 3rd on DRY pavement. Its really crazy when you see the road and scenery going by you sideways.

Thx for the concern guys, everything is fine. It actually couldnt have turned out better for me or the car. But it really puts shit in perspective ya know?

If it makes you feel better, here is my tale of woe from last april:

I was on my way to my girlfreind's (now fiance) and had to travel from one side of New Hampshire to the other. Of course, just my luck, there was a freaking sleet storm in early April....

I was being a good boy and staying under the speed limit, driving my sweet-ass silver jetta. i had just gotten it almost exactly a year before, it was a GL with a sport package, black leather interior, V6 engine (same one as in the audi A6), heated seats, sun-roof, every thing that you could possibly get in a VW, plus 17" wheels. I loved it the way a fat kid loves cake.

At any rate, an hour and a half into the trip, exactly halfway between home and my girl's, a fucking moose walked out in front of my car. I hit the brakes, but since there was ice and sluch all over, it didnt do shit. I turned to the left, just barely realizing there was no one in the opposing lane (thank god), but still clipped the front half of the moose.

Now, if anyone has ever seen one of these things in real life, you know they are fucking TALL. i under-cut her, swiping her legs out from under her and slamming her body into my hood (right where it meets the windsheild). The passenger side of the car crupled in so that the roof and windsheild met with the head-rst of the passenger side. If anyone had been in that seat, they would have been killed instantly. If i hadnt swerved onto the wrong side of the road, she would have gone strait through the windsheild.

My car ended up getting totalled. the damage to the interior and frame was so extensive that it would have cost more to replace it than to buy a new car.

The moose died instantly, they said she was about a 600 pounder. The passenger side door was so crumpled it would onlyopen an inch. Moose hair was all over the inside in clumps (i put my hand on one right after it happened and freaked the fuck out.....) It took me about 2 hours to stop shaking. Lucky for me, the one person who heard me hit her was an off duty EMT, and the 911 operator was awesome, as was the cop whop helped me. It took me about a month to stop seeing moose in front of me whenever i closed my eyes.

Hope that helps :)

oh, yeah, and to tell you what kind of hicks live in new england, close to 15 people stopped and asked the cop "has anyone claimed the moose yet? if not, here's my number, give me a call."

"oh yeah, how's the guy who hit it, did he live?"...... Every last person asked this of the cop, with me sitting in the passenger seat of the car, RIGHT NEXT TO HIM...

You (and i) are insanely lucky there was no oncoming traffic.

No shit. i was explaining what happened to a guy at work a week or so after it happened, adn he asked me why i went into the opposing lane. He wa sliek "Jesus, dud, that wasnt good. You could have been killed if a car was coming"

And then i thought, oh shit, no kidding. hadnt even occured to me until he said it. The cop that helped me said that i should go to mohegan sun with my luck. The odds of me walking away from the crash, let alone being completely without a scratch were astronomical......Of course, i still havent won the powerball......
