I have an ad posted on craigslist because these days, who couldnt use a little cash? I have gotten a lot of work in the past 2 years doing this, so I keep an ad up when I am not overwhelmed with work because i have everything I need to do freelance work.
i would like topoint out this part before Igo any further:
it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
Its a hard conept to follow, but its default for job ads. now, I got this a little while ago:
** CRAIGSLIST ADVISORY --- AVOID SCAMS BY DEALING LOCALLY
** Avoid: wiring money, cross-border deals, work-at-home
** Beware: cashier checks, money orders, escrow, shipping
** More Info: http://www.craigslist.org/about/scams.html
Greetings,
One of our staff came across your ad and forwarded it to me.
I may have a work from home position available that I think you would be a fit for. It pays on average about $10 an hour.
You would be helping our firm as an online secret shopper for our corporate clients, participating in free trials, rating and evaluating companies and reporting your feedback to our firm.
There is no fee involved and we will be paying YOU, via Paypal.
If you are still available for work, consider filling out a short application at our website and we can discuss potentially bringing you on in more detail...
You may register your interest with us and find out more by applying at:
http://www.SecretShoppersNet.com
The position offers $10 per hour and can be completed on your own schedule each day, which is convenient if you have other commitments or employment.
We are currently looking for someone who can offer 4 hours or more per week.
Best Regards,
Pat McBride

Are you looking to build a website, or to need some programming done? I have been working as a programmer and web developer for over five years, and am currently offering my services freelance. I can build anything from simple websites to large, complex database driven web applications.
I also have a great deal of experience designing and programming windows applications from simple calculator programs to image editing programs.
My rates are flexible (and always negotiable), but generally range from $45 to $55 an hour, depending on the project and budget. If you are interested in any of what I have listed, please feel free to contact me by email. I can provide a resume if requested.

I am interested in part time, telecommuting positions. I currently have afull time job, but I am avaliable nights.
it's ok to contact this poster if you are a potential employer or other principal
Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job seeker.
it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
they clearly said "Ooo! Job posting! SPAM HIM!"
My response:
You obviously did not even bother to read the ad, which is even included in this email. I am not a good fit for this position, if you had bothered to read it, being that I am a programmer and not someone who shops all day.
However, I would welcome the extra income if you were willing to pay the rates I have listed in the ad. $10 an hour is well below my typical rate and not quite sufficient to justify blowing off my day job to go shopping.
I always wanted to turn a telemarketing call back on the caller, but I only have a cell, so i dont get those any more. This is what i imagine that feels like.
