I was wondering if your TKD dojong(sp) had Gumdo offered as well?
I have just started this and it is SO MUCH FUN.
My daughter is a green belt in TKD and will probably come to class with me when she gets a little more advanced, She is currently taking a coupla of trial classes with me once a week. But that will end soon:(
You and your son need to sign up now....you get a sword and everything.
Well, A wooden one at the beginning, you know, cause of blood and such.
Not a good idea to start out with sharp things, I have bruises to prove that.

We just had the Master saboonim(sp?- I can't fucking spell it, but you know what I mean) come down and teach our class tonight and he kicked our ASS, it was great, I have nothing on my body that doesn't hurt right now:)

not that i know of.

they do get weapons training offered later on - dont know how crazy i am about that though.

personally - i found out a week ago that i wont be doing TKD anymore.
I saaw the Dr about my knee and the injections didnt do anything to replace the fluid thats keeping everything from rubbing together.

because TKD is an exact sport - it's impossible for me to do - i cant even do a back stance if the left knee is the back knee. cat kick with the left either.

so it looks like i'll just go back to volleyball as long as i can take it. At least i can adjust the level i play at .. thats impossible to do at TKD

that sucks - i always figured if HDC was invaded by angry ninja zombies that urge's TKD skills would come to the fore and save us all - - - now i must lay awake at night and wait in fear of that silent shuffling of the dead

Sorry to hear that dude. It must suck having to limit the activities you can do. Knees are painful as fuck when they crap out.

its a bit disappointing - but i can still practice at home with my kid.

volleyball is far more important to me anyway. i can take it down a notch and still compete ... maybe for a couple more years anyway :)
